‘Triggered’ Actress Reine Swart Talks Explosions And Gore In Our Interview

Back in 2018, I interviewed South African actress/director Reine Swart after being blown away by her performance in the indie horror The Lullaby. When I had an opportunity to catch up with her during the promotion of the new film Triggered, I jumped at the chance. Triggered is the action-packed survival horror from director Alastair Orr. In the movie, a group of high school friends reunites to celebrate the memory of the friend they lost. After setting up camp they wake to find they are fitted with explosive vests and all hell breaks lose as they are forced to fight to survive. Reine stars alongside Sean Cameron Michael, Suraya Rose Santos, and Liesl Ahlers. Horror Fuel: “Your new action-packed movie is about to be released, right?” Reine Swart: “Yeah, that was a really fun one. Alastair is such a great director.” Horror Fuel: “Yes he is. The movie is really intense and physical. What was filming like for you?” Reine

Jamie Bernadette Talks Acting And The State Of Women In The Film Industry

I sat down with actress Jamie Bernadette who has a lot of films coming up, including two films out this April, 4/20 Massacre and Killing Joan. Bernadette gave us insight into the films and a look at what’s to come. Jamie also told us about what it’s like to be a woman in the film industry, harder than you thought it would ever be. Horror Fuel: “Your first two roles were in truth based serial killer films, ‘Son of Sam’ and ‘Nightstalker’, both written and directed by Ulli Lommel. How did that happen?” Jamie Bernadette: “I mean, it just kind of happened. My friend was cast in the lead in ‘Son of Sam’ and referred me for a role. That’s when Ulli Lommel was like ‘Sure, yeah, have her come.’ That’s how that happened.” Horror Fuel: “I noticed you in ‘American Satan’. That’s such an incredible movie. Tell us about your character, Juliette.” Jamie Bernadette: “It is a great movie.

Reine Swart Talks ‘The Lullaby’ In An Interview

A few nights ago I sat down to watch The Lullaby. It was far from what I was expecting, just another indie horror film. The film was dark and fantastic and left me lying awake that night with thoughts swirling around in my head. Reine Swart (Dominion, Z Nation, Detour, Die Pro), the film’s lead actress left me impressed with what I believe is the best performance in a genre film that I have seen in a very long time. Of course when I had the opportunity to interview Reine I jumped at the chance. Reine took us inside the mind of her character Chloe in The Lullaby, directed by Darrell Roodt and written by Tarryn-Tanille Prinsloo. In the film, after returning to her hometown, overwhelmed by the birth of her baby, Chloe tries to come to terms with motherhood. Despite the support from her mother, Ruby, Chloe struggles with the demands of being a new mom. The growing sense
