The CW Sets Time Slots for Old Favorites and the Premiere Date for Riverdale

The date for the mid-season premiere of Riverdale, the new drama series based on the Archie comic books, has been set for Jan. 26th 2017 at 9PM ET. What does this mean for Supernatural fans, who are used to tuning in during this time slot? Nothing too drastic, the adventures of Sam and Dean will be shown one hour earlier in an 8 PM ET slot on Thursdays. This also means that DC’s Legends of Tomorrow will be relocating to a 9 PM ET slot on Tuesdays, which will begin on Jan. 24th and will run until the season finale on March 28th. On April 4th, the season premiere of iZombie will take over the 9 PM ET Tuesday slot, beginning with a special two hour episode that will start an hour earlier at 8 PM ET. No Tomorrow may prove to be an appropriate title, as the season (and possibly series) finale will air Tuesday, Jan. 17th at 9

The CW’s Friday The 13th Series – An Update

Word came back in 2014 that a Friday the 13th series would be coming to the CW Network that would explore a detective’s search for his brother who had gone missing on Crystal Lake. We posted an update back in August of 2015 that director David Bruckner had stepped away from the project and that writer Aaron Guzikowski has signed on. Since then information has been scarce. Today, new information has come via Pizowell.com. A source close to the show has revealed that the CW has officially killed their plans to make the series. One of the many reasons the series never came to be is that many executives didn’t like the concept behind the show.

‘Tales From The Darkside’ Series Hits A Dead End

Fans were very excited earlier this year when the news of a new ‘Tales From the Darkside’, unfortunately the series has now hit a dead end. The CW Network has decided not to move forward with the series at this time. The series was written and executively produced by ‘Horns’ Joe Hill and was to be written by Kris Lemche (Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.) and based on the series, by the same name, that ran from 1984-1988. The original anthology series was a spin-off of Romero’s ‘Creepshow’. It’s unknown if the new version of ‘Tales From the Darkside’ will be shopping for another network or if it will remain in Limbo. We will keep you updated on the shows’ status.
