Actor Javier Botet has now offered an update during an interview with Daily Dead. Since the first time I met the producers when we were shooting Conjuring 2, they spoke to me, they told me that the intention was to make a spinoff. So it’s a pity to see only a little, little part in The Conjuring 2. I’m so excited and I want to make a Crooked Man spinoff. But I know the same that everybody knows. James Wan Teases The Plot Of The Conjuring 3

Next year Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return as Ed and Lorraine Warren in The Conjuring 3, which has been said to be very different from its predecessors. During a conversation with Bloody-Disgusting, producer James Wan gave details of the film’s plot and reinforced that the film is based on a true story. It’s not necessarily based on an artifact but it’s based on one of the Warrens’ case files,” Wan said. All the Conjuring films are based on the case files, so they’re more based on the true story aspect of the real life Warrens. I think that’s important. It’s important that the mothership stays true to the inspiration of the real people. The spinoffs are where we get to have more fun and do weird and wonderful crazy things. The mothership of it being the Conjuring films, we want it to come back to the real stuff.” It’s this guy who was on trial for committing a murder,”

Jason Liles, the breakout star of Brad Peyton’s film adaptation of Rampage, was kind enough to answer a few of my questions. Liles and I talked about a few his previous roles in films like Netflix’s Death Note and The Conjuring 2. Oscar nominee Naomie Harris (Moonlight), Jeffrey Dean Morgan ( The Walking Dead), Malin Akerman (Billions), Jake Lacy (Girls), Joe Manganiello (True Blood), P.J. Byrne (Final Destination 5), Marley Shelton (Solace), Breanne Hill (San Andreas), Jack Quaid (The Hunger Games: Catching Fire), and Matt Gerald (Daredevil) co-star Horror Fuel: “You’ve played a lot of larger than life roles if you don’t mind me asking, just how tall are you? ” Jason Liles: “I’m six foot nine.” Horror Fuel: “Wow, that is tall. ‘The Conjuring’ Franchise Hit With An Almost Billion Dollar Lawsuit

While the new Conjuring universe may be continuing to expand, Warner Bros. may be in hot water. They have been hit with a massive lawsuit. In 1980, Gerald Brittle penned ‘The Demonologist’ for Ed and Lorraine Warren. Part of the deal between Brittle and the Warrens was that any future films that featured the events in the book had to have his approval before being made. In 2013 Warner Bros. and New Line released The Conjuring that went on to be a massive hit. The follow up centered on the Enfield Poltergeist, both stories were part of the book deal. The Conjuring and The Conjuring 2 has gone on to spawn 3 spin-offs, Annabelle, The Nun, and The Crookedman, and 2 more sequels, Annabelle: Creation and The Conjuring 3 which is now in the works. You would think that everyone involved is raking in the money, but you would be wrong. Somehow, Brittle was forgotten about. Now, he is taking

An Update On ‘The Crooked Man’, ‘The Nun’, And ‘The Conjuring 3’

With The Nun, The Crooked Man, and The Conjuring 3 ,all in the works the universe seems to be expanding by leaps and bounds. Let’s not forget that Annabelle: Creation, from David F. Sandberg, will be opening in theaters this weekend. During a conversation with EW, producer-writer-director James Wan gave fans a tease of what they can expect from The Crooked Man, as well as giving an update on The Nun and The Conjuring 3. Wan stated that Corin Hardy’s Conjuring spin-off, The Nun, is now in post-production. The film centers on the back story of the Nun that stalked Lorraine warren, played by Vera Farmiga, in The Conjuring 2. He had this to say about The Crooked Man: We think we have a really exciting story,” Wan told the site. “What we want to do, with The Conjuring universe, is we want each of our little offshoots to have a very different flavor, right? The Conjuring 3 Now Possesses A Writer

The Conjuring 3 now possesses a writer. David Leslie Johnson has signed on to write the screenplay for the next film of the ever growing franchise that has just announced its latest spin-off, a movie about the “Crooked Man” featured in The Conjuring 2, which he wrote. He was also behind the disturbing thriller Orphan. The buzz is James Wan, who directed the first film and the second which he co-wrote along with Carey and Chad Hayes, won’t be directing the third installment. This go-around Wan will produce through his company Atomic Monster along with Peter Safran. While the plot has not been revealed we do know that it will continue to document Ed and Lorraine’s investigations. There is a theory circulating that The Conjuring 3 will feature a werewolf, but we will just have to wait until the official plot is released to know for sure. As it stands, The Conjuring 3 will be the seventh film of the

The Crooked Man Is Coming – Film Greenlit By New Line Cinema

“There was a crooked man, and he walked a crooked mile. He found a crooked sixpence upon a crooked stile. He bought a crooked cat, which caught a crooked mouse, And they all lived together in a little crooked house.” As a kid you may have heard the nursery rhyme about the Crooked Man. The rhyme was made frightening in The Conjuring 2 when the entity came to life. The fact that the Crooked Man was NOT CG is even more incredible (you can find out more here). Javier Botet’s portrayal of the long-limbed entity, with a grin made of pointed teeth, was absolutely terrifying. Back in May we reported that the latest spin-off of The Conjuring franchise, based on the Crooked Man, was in the works. Now, we can tell that the film has officially gotten the go-ahead for production to begin, THR says. New Line Cinema has tapped Mike Van Waes to pen the screenplay, based on James

Another Spin-Off For The Conjuring 2 ?

The Conjuring is headed towards being the franchise with the most spin-offs in history. There is possibly another spin-off on its way. And no, I’m not talking about Annabelle 2: Creation or The Nun. Annabelle: Creation producer Peter Safran said something very interesting while talking with JoBlo recently. He said that it is a possibility that the “Crooked Man” from The Conjuring 2 may get a film of his own. “…I suspect a movie with him would be really really cool.” He continued, “…we have some interesting ideas for him. So we’ll see.” The creepy long-legged entity, played by Javier Botet, was not CGI like many thought. That was just Botet in a skin tight suit. Safran explains, “None of it was CG. It was 100% practical. That actor just looks like that, we created an amazing wardrobe for him. Skin tight latex-basically suit.” I could definitely see a whole film based on the character, he is creepy as hell.
