Blu-ray Review: The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It (2021)

Back in 2013, we were introduced to Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga as the real-life paranormal experts and demonologists Ed and Lorraine Warren. At the time we had no idea at the universe that would be born. Now, the third installment of The Conjuring franchise, The Conjuring: The Devil Made Me Do It is coming to 4K, Blu-ray and DVD. Ahead of the release, I watched the Blu-ray as well as the many special features. Here’s my review. Spoilers Ahead In the movie, we witness the chilling story based on the real case of possession and murder that begins with David, a possessed child. When the curse is transferred to Arne Johnson he takes a life. Arne’s case is the first in US history to be pled as possession. This June The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It will premiere in both theaters and on HBO Max. A new featurette released today delves into the true story that inspired the latest installment of the franchise. The third film of the franchise is a twisted tale of murder, the supernatural, and the unspeakable horror that rocked the nation. The case remains one of the Warren’s most terrifying investigations, the real-life case of Arne Johnson, which marked the first time in U.S. history that used demonic possession as a defense in a real murder trial. In the featurette, Arne’s wife Debbie Johnson regales the ordeal in detail. Warner Bros. Releasing All 2021 Movies Simultaneously On HBO Max & In Theaters

Warner Media is giving fans an early gift this holiday season with the announcement that their entire upcoming 2021 slate will hit HBO Max at the same time as their film’s theatrical releases. After one month on the streaming service, each film will be removed and then will only be available in theaters until its VOD, On Demand, and home video release. This is huge! There will be a ton of new movies available to subscribers, including Godzilla vs. Kong, The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It, Mortal Combat, The Little Things, In the Heights, Space Jam, Suicide Squad, Malignant, Dune, Matrix 4, Reminiscence, The Many Saints of Newark, King Richard, Cry Macho, and Wonder Woman 1984, and Those Who Wish Me Dead.
