Confirmed: The Conjuring 2 Will Open With The Amityville Investigation

James Wan’s The Conjuring 2, one of the most anticipated horror films of the year, will be premiering in theaters on June 10th. Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga will be reprising their roles as legendary real-life paranormal investigators as Ed and Lorraine Warren. For a while there have been rumors that the film will begin with another legendary case, the infamous “Amityville Haunting”, before they head to England to investigate the “Enfield Poltergeist”, and now Dread Central has confirmed it. “This movie starts in Amityville so the very beginning of the movie is what really happened.” The Conjuring 2’s producer Rob Cowan told Dread Central. “[The Warrens] went into Amityville and they hold a seance, and fairly quickly after the whole thing happened…they went in and hold a seance and wander around the house…there’s a very famous photograph of a little boy that’s in the house that they though was one of the kids, so we play all of that

Two New Posters Unveiled For The Conjuring 2

The first two posters have been released for the highly anticipated paranormal film The Conjuring 2, which is based on a true story . The first shows Ed Warren (Patrick Wilson) holding a cross in a pose that teases a possible exorcism. The Second poster shows Vera Farmiga pressed up against a wall with what looks like a shadow of an out stretched arm. Both posters boast that the film is based on a true stand and are simple yet very effective at giving off a creepy vibe. . The first official image from the sequel to 2013’s The Conjuring has been unveiled by Entertainment Weekly (below). In the sequel, paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren travel to England in 1977 to investigate the events surrounding the Enfield poltergeist, an entity that is plaguing the Hodgson family, single mother and her four children. The poltergeist has focused much of its attention on one of the young girls, Janet (Madison Wolfe). Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga return to star in The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist, as their characters Ed and Lorraine Warren. The cast for the film also includes Frances O’Connor, Maria Doyle Kennedy, Simon Delaney, Simon McBurney and Franka Potente. James Wan returned to the directors chair for part two.Wan went so far as to even visit the location where the real events took place. The theatrical release of The Conjuring 2 has been slated for June 10, 2016.

Is The Conjuring 2 Featuring The Warren’s Amityville Horror Investigation ?

We reported earlier this month the James Wan has begun filming on The Conjuring 2: The Enfield Poltergeist. Wan even shared a series of the photos from the film’s sets. The film, a sequel to the 2013 The Conjuring, is based on Ed and Loraine Warren’s investigation that took place in the 1970’s, in England, when a single mother and her children were plagued by intense paranormal activity. Earlier today Bloody-Disgusting disclosed that they had stumbled across a brief interaction on Twitter between actress Alexa Najera and a fan. Najera confirmed that she will be playing the role of Allison DeFeo in The Conjuring 2, leading us all to believe that not only will the film cover the Enfield events, but also the famous Amityville case.
