Jamie Foxx Is The New Spawn!

Back in May, we reported that Jamie Foxx had been offered the role of Spawn in Todd McFarlane‘s new film. Today, it has been confirmed by Deadline, Jamie Foxx is our new Spawn! See, this all started five years ago when Foxx told Movies.com that he would love to pay the part. “Spawn is one, yeah. And Mike Tyson,” Foxx stated. “Those are two roles I would just love to do. It’s been a while since we heard an update, until now. Fortunately, McFarlane gave a new update recently during the Emerald City Comic Con via a video during a panel. He stated that Spawn is still alive, despite rumors. Listen, I’m going to paint it for you. The movie is going to be a dark R…If here’s PG-13 and here’s Deadpool and here’s Logan, we’re going to be here. It’s going to be nasty.” This past September, McFarlane had this to say about the film: I’d put it more into horror/suspense/supernatural genre,” He said. “In the background, there’s this thing moving around, this boogeyman. That boogeyman just happens to be something that you and I, intellectually, know is Spawn.” McFarlane continues o explain the character.
