‘Silent Hills’ Reportedly Out Of Production Hell!

Finally some potentially good news! It’s being reported that Kojima Productions and Project Siren will be working on two “Silent Hill” titles after reports say that Hideo Kojima was approached by Sony and Konami. Project Siren is said to be working on a reboot of Silent Hill while Kojima Productions is going to get back to work on Silent Hills, the canceled title everyone was looking forward to after playing the terrifying P.T. that changed first-person horror gaming. Hideo Kojima and Norman Reedus have stated that they were going to be working on another game together, Reedus for those who did not know, appeared at the end of P.T. as it showed that he was going to be a featured character in the game before the cancelation and the messy departure of Kojima from Konami. E3 Is Canceled

If you’re following the recent events going on around the world and you’re a gamer, you probably already wondering if the Electronic Entertainment Expo (aka E3) the largest gaming event of the year will be affected. It has been confirmed by E3 that yes, the 2020 event that was being held in L.A. is indeed CANCELED due to fears of Coronavirus that’s been hitting the West Coast hard over the last few weeks. Some in the know are asking if this is REALLY the reason it’s canceled. Over the last few months E3 2020 was plagued (no pun intended…seriously!) by behind the scenes drama that was threatening the event this year anyway Coronavirus or not. One of the biggest things going on behind the scenes is gaming console company Sony PlayStation not attending the event for the second year in a row opting to have their latest news showcased at other gaming events and broadcast online. Another big player is

Opinion: The Rise Of Super Hero Horror?

After the trailer for the upcoming horror film Brightburn is still lingering in people’s minds and the growing anticipation of The New Mutants release, there’s something that can’t be ignored. In the current age of Superhero movies, these two are unique as they’re clearly horror films told in their own unique ways. The New Mutants, based on the comic series of the same name follows five young individuals who are being kept in a secret facility where they begin to learn that they have the “X-Gene”. While trying to understand their situation, the mutants experience terrifying visions that involve their past. The New Mutants is the first in a trilogy where as the next two films will feature mutants Karma and Warlock, and yes these films will be horror as well. Brightburn, on the other hand, is a unique take on the “Superman” story where in this universe, the humanoid extraterrestrial with superpowers is actually evil. As armchair experts try

Recently Chance6 Studios released their psychological horror game “COLINA: Legacy” on Steam. The game follows a young man named Alex who woke up alone in his grandmother’s house and realizes that things are not right. One thing can make or break a good movie or video game, the soundtrack. When you want the best for your music you go to the best to get it done, this is where Hexany Audio comes in. You may not know the name but you most likely heard their work. Consuming Cynema PART II

The Remake The road to the remake is a winding one. There is no clear pathway toward the answer of whether they are good or bad, needed or unwanted. They exist. They will continue to be made because there is demand. My previous article opened with a quote from George Bush’s post 9-11 speech which hinted at “living life” is a series of consuming events that follow an image that has been dictated to us by a media assault that has shaped us since birth. So what does that have to do with filmmaking and entertainment? Does art imitate life or the other way around? Why is Disney the Mecca of family vacations? Who said women are to look a certain way, smoking is glamorous, drinking a soda makes you like Michael Jackson or Beyonce? We have a new generation growing up with incredible access to entertainment. Cell phones, tablets, video game systems and computers allow instant access to everything,

Cynema: Godzilla vs. Gino

Go Go Godzilla “We spared no expense.” – Sir Richard Attenborough, Jurassic Park Rumors circulated Hollywood since the early 1990’s of an American Godzilla movie. Writers and directors left the project and by 1996, Toho and Sony/Tri Star came to terms and the producing team of Dean Devlin and Roland Emmerich were anointed to bring a full fledged American Godzilla film to the US masses. He would attack New York City; it would boast a big name cast and incorporate state of the art visual effects. There would be no man in a giant rubber suit in this film since Jurassic Park raised the bar for giant reptilian creatures. Toho Knew In the wake of the successful 2014 reboot (which had its own issues), it seems like a cheap shot to take yet another swipe at the much maligned (and deservedly so) 1998 mess. This time it’s to see how this film fits the Cynema paradigm. It’s not Godzilla, it
