Unintentionally Funny Moments In Serious Horror Movies

When one watches horror movies, the main reason for doing so is to be scared, disturbed, and entertained… not laugh or left dumbfounded by what you just saw. The following list count downs from the least to the most moments in horror films that were probably not meant to be funny but came out that way, and be warned, there are a lot of SPOILERS ahead. 10: Get Out First, we start off with the 2017 directorial debut of Jordan Peele, Get Out. The film is about a young African-American man named Chris (Daniel Kaluuya) who goes to meet his white girlfriend’s (Allison Williams) family who is part of a family ran conspiracy to transplant the brains of its ailing white family members and friends into healthy bodies of African Americans. The Scene: Walter’s Nighttime Run In this scene, Chris goes to have a smoke outside in the middle of the night where he has a strange encounter with the

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Felissa Rose

Horror legend status for a character in a horror film, this is an accolade that is normally attributed to the villains and either the last man standing or more often the final girl. It’s not very often that the villain and final girl happen to be the same character. But for a 13 year old Felissa Rose, this would be the case…well, sort of. And it would be this role, which incidentally was her very first, that would immediately solidify her position as a horror legend. This Long Island native would make her debut in the role of Angela Baker in the 1983 classic summer camp horror flick, Sleepaway Camp. All the while Felissa knew that she was the killer in question, but it was a shock even to her what the big reveal at the end of the film would be. At this point I’m not even calling the twist ending a spoiler, because the movie is nearly 34

We’re Headed Back To Sleepaway Camp In New Film

Back in 1983 we witnessed a character named Angela (Felissa Rose) reveal a big (I don’t know if big is the right word) secrete in a scene that shocked the hell out of horror fans, I’m talking about ‘Sleepaway Camp’. The slasher flick spawned four sequels and is now about to add another film to the franchise. Before you jump the gun and assume it’s a reboot/remake, I should tell you that it will be a direct sequel to the original film. Back in 2013 former New Line executive Jeff Katz obtained the rights. He will be producing the sequel with the franchise’s creator and writer Robert Hiltzik. Katz recently spoke about the project on The Movie Crypt podcast. He explained that the new film will reveal what Angela has been in a sanitarium all these years. In the sequel she escapes and returns to Camp Arawak. Katz hopes that Rose will reprise her role as Angela. Let’s be honest,

‘Sleepaway Camp’ Is Getting A Reboot

Over the past few years we have seen a horde of reboots, remakes and sequels. Now it seems the 1983 slasher film ‘Sleepaway Camp’ has been added to that list. The cult classic is being given an over haul by Jeff Katz. Katz will co-produce the movie along side the movie’s original writer/director Robert Hilzik, Michele Tatosian. ‘Sleepaway Camp’ follows the story of Angela (Felissa Rose), a shy girl who has been sent to camp. Angela is soon being targeted by bullies. It’s not long before people, with bad intentions, start turning up dead. The movie will be updated with a modern setting, while honoring the original. I’m glad to hear that so many people involved in the first ‘Sleepaway Camp’ will be taking part in the new movie. The news of the reboot has just begun to be released, hopefully we will hear who will star in the modern version soon. We do know that Felissa Rose, the original
