New ‘Texas Chainsaw’ Movie Will Premiere On Netflix

Leatherface is back! A new brand new Texas Chainsaw Massacre movie (the ninth of the franchise) is gearing up to premiere on Netflix. Filmed in Bulgaria last year, the movie is being described as direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s 1974 original, the same way that David Gordon Green’s Halloween trilogy was for that franchise. The news was announced by Netflix’s official Twitter account, which states that the film is “a new chapter in the iconic horror franchise that is set in the present day and returns to the roots of Tobe Hooper’s horror classic.” Alice Krige, Elsie Fisher, Sarah Yarkin, Jacob Latimore, William Hope, Nell Hudson, and Moe Dunford star, with Mark Burnham playing the iconic role of Leatherface. David Blue Garcia (Tejano) directs with Fede Alvarez (Don’t Breathe) producing. A release date has yet to be announced, but it will more than likely arrive this year. We wouldn’t be surprised if it arrives this October. The poster reads, “In

The New ‘Texas Chainsaw Massacre’ Movie Is A Direct Sequel To The Original

It’s been a minute since we’ve had an update about the new Texas Chainsaw Massacre installment being produced by Fede Alvarez, the man behind Don’t Breathe and the Evil Dead reboot. Today we can report that the movie is a direct sequel to Tobe Hooper’s original 1974 classic. During a conversation with The Boo Crew Podcast, Alvarez confirmed it. He also revealed that the movie is set many years after the events of the first film and that we will see Leatherface as an older man. It is a direct sequel, and it is the same character. It is old man Leatherface.“ He went on to describe the movie as “old school”. “Everything is classic, old school gags.A lot of the approach that we had with Evil Dead – never VFX, to do everything on camera. It’s a very old school approach to filmmaking. Vintage lenses… it’s very similar to the original film.” Cinematographer turned director David Blue Garcia is

A week into production in Bulgaria, the film has a new director, replacing Ryan and Andy Tohill (The Dig). The cast of the movie includes Elsie Fisher (Eighth Grade), Sarah Yarkin (Happy Death Day 2U), Jacob Latimore (The Maze Runner), and Moe Dunford (“Vikings”). Alvarez produces alongside Bad Hombre’s Rodolfo Sayagues and Kim Henkel, Ian Henkel, and Pat Cassidy who are producing under their Exurbia Films banner. Movie Review: ‘Eat, Brains, Love’

Rodman Flender (Idle Hands, ‘Scream: The TV Series’) brought Gunpowder & Sky, ALTER, DIGA Studios, and Full Fathom Five’s zombie rom-com Eat, Brains, Love to viewers digitally on Valentine’s day. The flick, based on the novel of the same name by Jeff Hart, follows stoner loser Jake, and cheerleader captain Amanda after they become zombies and are on the run from a government organization that uses Psychics to find and kill Zombies. The problem is, one of the best psychics in the organization is falling in love with Jake. There are spoilers ahead but if you just want my final thought you can scroll down to the end. SPOILERS AHEAD! The film is told through narration by Jake (Jake Cannavale) and the psychic teenage government worker Cass (Sarah Yarkin) which at times also doubles as an inner monologue. Jake contracts a zombie virus, which in the film is sexually transmitted, and changes into a zombie in a crowded cafeteria; he’s
