‘Bird Box’ Sequel ‘Malorie’ Has Been Confirmed And We Have The First Details

Netflix’s Bird Box (review) was an instant hit following its premiere last December with 80 million views in the first month. It didn’t take long for viewers to start asking for a sequel. Ask and ye shall receive. Josh Malerman, author of the 2014 novel Bird Box is based on has just announced that he is currently writing the sequel. Titled Malorie, the next installment picks up eight years after the original and catches up with the lead character played by Sandra Bullock and her children Boy and Girl. We will also learn more about the mysterious creatures that cause death and chaos. At the end of the movie, I turned to my girl Allison and said, ‘I want to know what happens next!’ and she was like, ‘Well, you know, you could make that happen,’ so it really was this warm feeling,” Malerman told Esquire. “As much as I care about Boy and Girl, this isn’t their story. ‘Bird Box’ Monster Revealed

One of the most talked about series of the season is Netflix’s Bird Box. While we never see the monsters in the film, we almost did. You see, there was a deleted scene that revealed the monsters. Star Sandra Bullock described the creature as being a “green man with a horrific baby face.” On Instagram, special effects artist Andy Bergholtz and the effects company SFX Atlas recently shared some photos of the creature that would have been revealed in the deleted scene. We had the unique pleasure of designing a creepy makeup for the film, although the scene ultimately ended up on the cutting room floor. Keep in mind, the fatal “vision” that each character saw would most likely be different for each person (you’ll understand if you’ve seen the film), and this makeup appeared in a cut “dream/nightmare sequence” with Sandra Bullock’s character.Considering her pregnant state and emotional arc thru the movie, the producers felt Sandra’s nightmare would have

Movie Review: Bird Box

Viewers have been going back and forth on social media about Bird Box so I thought I’d put in my two cents. In the film, from director Susanne Bier, on her way home for her first sonogram, Malorie (Sandra Bullock) along with her friend Jessica (Sarah Paulson) are suddenly caught in chaos as the city goes into a panic when a mysterious force attacks, sending those who see it into a suicidal rage. When their car flips Malorie is picked up by a group of people and brought into a home that is serving as a shelter for several survivors. For a time the group is safe. But they have learned that several patients have escaped a nearby mental facility but they haven’t been covering their eyes. They want to expose others to the entities. When the group of survivors take in a desperate man things go from bad to worse. As Malorie and another woman (Danielle Macdonald) go into
