One concern of Stephen King fans is if an adaptation (and there’s a bunch) will adhere to the source material. James Wan (The Conjuring franchise) and Gary Dauberman (Annabelle Comes Home) are teaming up for the adaptation of Stephen King‘s Salem’s Lot for New Line. In 2004 TNT hosted a new miniseries adaptation starring Rob Lowe. But this marks the first feature film adaptation. The tale follows writer Ben Mears, who returns to his Maine hometown of Jerusalem’s Lot. But soon, he uncovers that the town is overrun with vampires. There is no word yet if the film will include King’s expansion of the novel with the short stories “Jerusalem’s Lot” and “One for the Road”. The director and cast have yet to be announced. Let’s hope they can
