Morgan Creek Adapting ‘Stay Tuned’ For New Series

It’s been previously reported that Morgan Creek is currently working on TV series based on David Cronenberg’s “Dead Ringers” as well as Clive Barker’s “Nightbreed”. News has come today, via Deadline, that they are also working on a TV adaptation of Stay Tuned. “Fear the Walking Dead” co-showrunner and executive producer Ian Goldberg and writer/producer Richard Naing will pen the series. The two also wrote the fantastic horror film The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Directed by Peter Hyams, the 1992 movie starred John Ritter as Roy Knable, a man who spends all of his spare time watching TV. Review: ‘The Autopsy Of Jane Doe’ Is One Of The Best Horror Films Of The Year

Last night I settled in to finally watch a film that I have been waiting months to see, The Autopsy of Jane Doe and it was everything I had hoped it would be. The film opens with a father-son ending the autopsy of a burn victim which actually turned out to be an accidental death. Just as the son, Austin (Emile Hirsch), is leaving with his girlfriend the sheriff turns up with a body found mysteriously buried in the basement of two murder victims. Feeling obligated to help his father, Tommy (Brian Cox), Austin delays his date to help with the body. As they begin the autopsy on the Jane Doe (Olwen Catherine Kelly) they start to notice strange things about her body. Not only has her tongue been ripped out, she’s been violated with a knife, and her organs look like they belong to a victim burned in a fire. But strangely, her body is spotless and she looks

The Strangers’ Ciarán Foy Begins Production On The Paranormal Thriller Eli

Filmmaker Ciarán Foy, has already made a big splash in the genre with his films Citadel and Sinister II. The first information had been revealed for Foy’s psychological thriller Eli and I can’t wait to see it. The film centers on Eli, a young boy undergoing treatments for a rare disease in a secluded clinic. The clinic in reality is a haunted former prison, that has no way out. With paranormal aspects, Eli is based on the script originally written by David Chirchirillo and rewritten by Ian Goldberg and Richard Naing, the writing duo are behind The Autopsy of Jane Doe (review). Deadline reports that filming is set to begin this summer. Trevor Macy is producing under Intrepid Pictures’ banner.

The Autopsy of Jane Doe: The Character is Dead, but the Movie Thrives

I just finished the André Øvredal directed film The Autopsy of Jane Doe. Going into this movie, I was completely unaware of what it was about other than the brief synopsis on imdb.com. I chose to watch it because I had heard it was good and I am a fan of the starring actors. The film is obviously billed as a horror movie, but I didn’t know what type and, in the very best of ways, I didn’t expect what it was. I promise to give away no spoilers or even any hints about what to expect, but I strongly, strongly urge everyone to watch this movie. It did no rely of cheap thrills or over the top ridiculousness. My biggest issue with many horror movies is that the climax always ends up being some extravagant, highly destructive finale that doesn’t match the rest of the movie. This movie did not do that. The Autopsy of Jane Doe established a
