New Featurette Teases ‘Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City’s’ Return To Its Horror Roots

Director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night) is taking us back to Raccoon City this November with Sony’s Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City. A new featurette is here, spotlighting the movie’s return to its horror roots and teasing some of the many Easter Eggs that are to be discovered. I want fans to just look at these locations and be like wow, I’m in the game,” Roberts explains. “Capcom was super supportive. They gave us the actual blueprints, so we built the mansion and police station exactly as the game. Every frame has details – the orphanage doors, a typewriter in the background, the little herbs. It’s really fun. It’s very much for the fans.” “Returning to the terrifying roots of the massively popular franchise, fan and filmmaker Johannes Roberts brings the games of the billion-dollar franchise and the most successful video game adaptation in history to life for a whole new generation of fans.”

Fans Are Not Happy With ‘Resident Evil: Welcome To Raccoon City’

Johannes Roberts promised fans of the popular survival horror game series “Resident Evil” that the upcoming film Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City would be closer to the source material than Paul W.S. Anderson’s film series that pretty much had nothing to do with the games (a trend with his works based on video games). Fans were excited to learn that the film will combine the first two Resident Evil games and were pretty much on board with the film…till yesterday (August 30, 2021) when the first three production stills were released showing the cast and instantly divided fans. The one picture that really irked fans were the image of Resident Evil 2’s main heroes, Leon and Clair and fans were quick to show disappointment in the casting of Avan Jogia as Leon with many saying his appearance made him look more like Carlos (Resident Evil 3) than Leon. Some fans were also quick to criticize the appearance of the

CAPCOM had a showcase at today’s virtual E3 event where they discussed upcoming projects and recalling recent successful title launches. Of course, they did talk about the success of their latest installment in the “Resident Evil” franchise, Resident Evil Village, the eighth chapter in the main storyline of the series. With overwhelming support and feedback, producer Tsuyoshi Kanda has said that the fans have been heard and that the next step for “Resident Evil” right now is a DLC for Resident Evil Village. Beyond that, there’s nothing else to say other than fans and myself are looking forward to the news about it as well as further details which I promise to deliver to you the reader as soon as I get it!

Game Review: ‘Resident Evil: Village’

A big thank you to CAPCOM for making this review possible and allowing me to get the chance to head off into the village, what awaits me in Resident Evil: Village? Let’s take a Spoiler-Free look! Resident Evil: Village takes place after the events of Resident Evil 7: Biohazard where Ethan and Mia have settled down and have had a daughter, Rose, after moving to Europe. The peace is ruined when Chris Redfield comes takes Rose away. Ethan then wakes to find himself in a strange village where horrors and Rose awaits. Now onto Resident Evil: Village itself! It’s safe to say that if you have not played RE7 yet, you really should as it will get you up to speed story-wise as well as the controls. The controls in this game pretty much handle the same but there are some changes, good changes I’ll add, that’s a step up from the previous, I’ll go into that later. Graphics-wise, I’m

New Details Emerge For Johannes Roberts’ ‘Resident Evil’ Including Its Title

During the SXSW director Johannes Roberts (47 Meters Down, The Strangers: Prey at Night)) not only gave new details about the upcoming Resident Evil movie, but he also revealed its title, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, IGN reports. Set to be released this September, Resident Evil: Welcome to Raccoon City, which has officially wrapped filming, is an adaptation of the first two games of the hit franchise. Roberts told IGN that the tone of the film was very important to him and that he drew inspiration from John Carpenter’s Assault on Precinct 13 and The Fog. The thing I loved about the games is they were just scary as hell and that is very much what I wanted. That atmosphere — it’s rain, it’s constantly dark, it’s creepy. Raccoon City is kind of this rotten character in the movie and that sort of atmosphere in the games I wanted to put in [the film].” Roberts continued, “I’m a huge
