“Murder Your Thirst”: An Interview With Liquid Death Founder And CEO Mike Cessario

Liquid Death, what a killer name for a brand of water! Recently, Liquid Death teamed up with Netflix for Zach Snyder’s Army of the Dead (review). As part of their advertising Liquid Death released their “No Brainer,” part hat, part koozie that not only keeps your water cold but is also a hat that protects your brain from those pesky zombies. It’s a trip! I decided to dive into the brand and discovered a great company on a serious mission, to lower plastic pollution. I spoke with Mike Cessario, founder and CEO of Liquid Death, who is a former Netflix creative, to learn more about the company. Kelli McNeely: “How did Liquid Death come to be?” Mike Cessario: “Liquid Death was essentially the perfect combo of my love for music, art, comedy, and health, along with my passion and experience for pushing the boundaries of marketing and advertising to make it suck less. I was tired of all the unhealthy

Review: Valerie Confections “Supernatural” Themed Chocolates

I recently received the Supernatural: The Complete Series box set (review). When I opened the box I was surprised to find a cold pack inside the big brown box, then I discovered a sweet surprise, Warner Bros. had included a box of “Supernatural” themed chocolates from Valerie Confections. If you knew me, you would know that I have a major sweet tooth. Needless to say, I was thrilled. As I slipped off the gold bow off of the white box and opened the top I discovered brown tissue paper sealed with a logo sticker. Then, I carefully opened it to find the coolest chocolates with a “Supernatural” theme. Of course, I wouldn’t be doing my job if I didn’t taste them all (I love my job). In all, there were eighteen chocolates. There were two types. One type was square and had a crisp, smooth chocolate shell with a flavored chewy toffee inside. The other had a chocolate shell that

Having A Drink In Style! Product Review For TOAST’s Pint Sleeves

Just because the holidays have passed does not mean you can’t spoil yourself or someone else with a treat or two. I was able to get the opportunity to try out a unique product that has me raising a glass…or two…or three… All jokes aside, meet the awesome folks at TOAST, they make handcrafted covers/cases for phones, laptops, and game systems out of wood or leather! When I say covers/cases out of wood, I mean REAL wood, cool right?! Don’t believe me? Norman Reedus has one of their covers for his iPhone 4 (made of walnut with a skull and crossbones design on it). I was lucky enough to be allowed to try out one of their products, a leather sleeve meant for a pint glass. The sleeve comes in a variety of colors (named after drinks), I got mine in “scotch” (brown), and if you want, you can have a design or text laser-etched on the leather, I chose

Make Your Fire Pits Burn With The Skulls Of Your Enemies…Not Really

Summer is approaching and you know what that means, late night conversations around a campfire or a propane fire bit. Those fire bits are nice but you have to admit, those fake logs or fire glass can be kind of…lame, well not anymore! The folks at Myard have the perfect replacement or addition to your fire pit or gas fireplaces, fireproof skulls. These ceramic skulls are made to withstand really hot temperatures in both a gas or wood-burning fireplaces or fire pits. Use them around Halloween or if you’re like me, use them all year around! The skulls do come in different colors but depending on how often you use them and in what way, soot can build up on them and discolor them. Some people on the web have said they’ve used fireproof paints to repaint them or paint them up to look more realistic. Myard says that the skulls are meant to be used in open fire pits
