Review: HorrorPack Continues To Deliver The Goods

While many people dread the end of the month, I look forward to it. Want to know why? That’s when my HorrorPack subscription box comes in every month. Who wouldn’t look forward to getting four mystery horror Blu-rays? Every month a box arrives filled with 4 Blu-ray or DVD, including one limited edition, or a special movie. June’s box includes: 2010’s James Wan directed hit Insidious, which spawned a franchise. The frightening flick centers on a family who seeks to prevent evil spirits from trapping their child in a realm called “The Further.” Patrick Wilson, Rose Byrne, Lin Shaye, and Leigh Whannell star. The Belco Experiment (2016) In this action-packed movie, a twisted social experiment sends eighty workers locked in their high-rise corporate office sends co-workers into a bloody rampage. Double Salvation 2-pack starring Paul Bettany at his most biblical and badass. In Priest (2011), Bettany stars as a priest who disobeyed church law to hunt down vampires who kidnapped

Product Review: HorrorPack May Subscription Box

Who doesn’t love subscription boxes? Monthly goodies delivered right to your front door every month, it’s the best right? Spending so much time home lately, I’ve watched pretty much everything worth watching on streaming networks, so it was great to get the May HorrorPack subscription box. Featuring four Blu-rays, the box includes: The Exorcist III, released in 1990, comes to Blu-ray for the first time. Arguably one of the best horror sequels ever made, the film picks up where the original ends, following Lt. Kinderman (George C. Scott) as he investigates a series of killings. Jason Miller reprises his role from the original film. 2016’s The Forest (review) starring Natalie Dormer whose search for her sister leads her to the suicide forest. It was directed by Jason Zada and written by Nick Antosca and Sarah Cornwell. The box also includes the horror-comedy Bloodsucking Bastards, a side-splitting vampire flick that reminds us the office really can suck the life out of

Product Review: HorrorPack’s April Subscription Box

Let’s be honest, thanks to the pandemic, we’ve all burned through most of the good things to watch on Netflix, Prime, Hulu, and Tubi, so I was thrilled Tuesday to find April’s HorrorPack subscription box sitting on my doorstep. The monthly subscription box contained four Blu-rays, each entertaining in its own way. The 2017 sci-fi horror Life, starring Ryan Reynolds, Jake Gyllenhaal, and Rebecca Ferguson. The film follows a team of scientists aboard the International Space Station who have discovered a new life form, one which caused the mass extinction on Mars. Now, the crew faces an extinction of its own. A Double Feature: 2-Headed Shark Attack and Mega Shark vs. Crocosaurus. Both films are cheesy sci-fi action horror flicks. The HorrorPack Limited Edition Blu-ray Nefarious from director Richard Roundtree, a 2019 film about two groups of people brought together after a botched robbery. The group of criminals get more than they bargained for and must find a way to

Review: Ghostbusters: Artbook

I was able to get my hands on a copy of Sony Pictures’ new “Ghostbusters: Artbook,” featuring artwork from artists all over the world, paying homage to the classic in their own styles. I was a bit surprised when I picked up the box that the mailman left on my doorstep, it was quite heavy. I excitedly tore through the brown box like Wolverine. I threw the bubble wrap over my shoulder like a bride throws her bouquet. Finally, I saw it. I was met with a big book ( 208 pages) whose cover art is in bubble gum colors featuring our favorite ghost, Slimer. As I ran my hands over the hardcover of the book it was easy to see that the cover is super high quality, thick, firm and smooth. I flipped straight to the introduction written by none other than Jason Reitman, the Golden Globe winner and the four-time Acadamy Award nominee who is directing the upcoming

‘Liquid Death’ Murders Thirst For A Cause: Product Review

If you’re not new here you know we at Horror Fuel share a dark sense of humor that’s often shared by you the readers. Turns out there’s a company out there with the same sense of humor when it comes to their product, spring water. Let me introduce you to Liquid Death, a company and product with a unique approach to drinking spring water, by serving it in a can. “A can?” you ask, yes in a can. Liquid Death was awesome enough to share with me their head-turning product to try and all I can say is, yeah it’s water, but you kinda feel like a badass drinking it! The story behind the product is simple; Liquid Death does not want to use plastic bottles to sell their water because of the risk of the bottles ending up in the ocean along with other plastics. I know you’re saying “But plastic can be recycled!” yes and no. You can

Show No Fear! Product Review Of The ‘NoSweat Hat Liners’

I know what you’re thinking, “A product review?!” yes, and buckle up! The awesome folks at NoSweat sent me one of their hat liners to try out for you guys. NoSweat makes liners for hats, (sports) helmets, and hard hats. The liners are designed to wick away sweat and prevent it from dripping down your face, and in this case, protecting your hat from becoming discolored or stained with sweat. These liners are currently being used by professional athletes Scott Langley, Stewart Cink, Brandon McManus, Dallas Keuchel, Golden Tate, TJ Oshie, Matt Adams, and Kerry Feirman. Now onward to the review! The liners come in an easy to open (and resalable) bag. The instructions are pretty much repeated all over the bag even with a picture showing you how it should be put into the ball cap. The back of the liner is pretty sticky so you got to make sure you’re lined up right on the first try. The

Coffee Shop of Horrors’ Scary Good – A Review

There is something you should know about me, I’m a coffee snob and a caffeine addict. You won’t find a bag of Folgers in my house. There are two things I don’t do cheap, toilet paper and coffee. Both are necessities in my life, but we aren’t here to talk toilet paper. Recently a friend of mine introduced me to a coffee shop and company by the name of ‘Coffee Shop of Horrors’. What could be better than two of my favorite things combined, horror and coffee? ‘Coffee Shop of Horrors’, owned by Roxana Stan, has a store/cafe located on Lakeside Drive in Montverde, Florida. They also a website with a ton of choices and something to please every type of caffeine connoisseur. Every bag and blend is inspired by a horror film, character or book. How cool is that? I tried out their “Bubba the Redneck Werewolf’s Spiced Bourbon” and compared it side by side to a bag of
