Join FX Artist Todd Masters Live During SYFY’s “Day Of The Dead” Premiere

The creative forces behind the new upcoming SYFY series “Day if the Dead” turned to Emmy Award-winning makeup FX artist Todd Masters and his company MASTERSFX to create all of the zombie makeup for their new zombie series which Masters will also executive produce. We started meeting and designing our makeup FX work for this project while we were still under Covid and government lockdown,” Masters said. “Literally, the moment we were allowed to re-open our shop, we did, and we hit the ground really rocking and rolling. We had a small army of our amazing artists start immediately throwing themselves into this huge project… there were zombies everywhere! At that time, due to the ongoing Covid situation, we still had no idea how we were going to safely work with the cast and other crew. This October, Peacock is getting extra spooky with a huge Halloween lineup filled with movies, series, and specials. One of those specials is Snoop and Martha’s Very Tasty Halloween. In the special, a trio of talented bakers will go head to head in a competition to create an immersive 12×12 edible Halloween-themed immersive spectacles inspired by their greatest fears, which will be judged by Snoop and Martha Stewart and guest judge Alvin Zhou. Netflix has just announced the premiere date for the highly anticipated Korean supernatural series, “Hellbound”, from the director of Train to Busan. In the series, a detective, a lawyer, and a journalist set out to investigate the link between a mysterious cult leader and beings who have descended to earth to condemn people to hell. The series centers on the strange events which are tied to the rise of a religious sect called New Truth. Yoo Ah-in (Burning, #Alive) plays the leader of the cult, Jung Jin-soo, while Yang Ik-june (Breathless) plays a widowed detective Jin Kyung-hoon, and Park Jung-min (Time to Hunt) stars as the journalist.
