Here’s What We Know About ‘Predator’ (2018) So Far

Shane Black’s Predator reboot will arrive in theaters this summer and we have some new info. Black made it clear in a tweet this past February that movie will be filled with violence by saying, “And, just to be clear…PG-13 is for pussies. Spines bleed…a lot.” Here’s what we know: This time the predator will be stalking the suburbs where it will go head to head with the cast that includes Sterling K. Brown, Olivia Munn, Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Thomas Jane, Jake Busey, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, and Yvonne Strahovski. Jane revealed last month a little about the characters, that they are military vets suffering from PTSD who meet a guy who thinks he’s seen a UFO and the group decides to hunt down the creature. We’re all like ‘fuck that man, let’s go kill these fucking predators ourselves’ and we’re just crazy enough to believe that this guy really did see a UFO

New ‘Predator’ Poster Strikes Fear Into A City

Director Shane Black is taking The Predator out of the jungle and into the streets by the look of the film’s new art (below) which seems to pay homage to 1990’s Predator 2. At a licensing expo in London recently, 20th Century Fox unveiled the first official poster for the film in which a lightning strike takes the shape of the Predator. They have now officially released the art via the Predator Fan App. where you see the streak of lightning in action as it strikes fear into a city. In The Predator, starring Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Boyd Holbrook, Edward James Olmos, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Augusto Aguilera, Alfie Allen, and Yvonne Strahovski, a group of humans face the fierce aliens who have returned to earth for a hunt. There is another connection between The Predator (2018) and Predator 2, Jake Busey will be playing the son of Gary Busey’s (his real-life father) character in Predator 2. The Predator

Sonny Landham And My Personal Connection With ‘Predator’

Many fans were saddened last Friday to hear of the passing of Sonny Landham. Mr. Landham starred in films like 48 hours, The Warriors and one of my favorite adventure flicks from the 80s, Firewalker. However, it was his role as “Billy” in 1987’s Predator that he’s best remembered for. Sonny Landham was 76 when he passed. I mentioned that fans were saddened at his passing, and I’m certainly one of them. But for me, it’s more than just mourning the loss of a memorable character. You see, I have a special place in my heart for Predator, and it’s tied to my military service. It started back when I was just a private in the Army National Guard, and it was a time when we were still expected to shine our boots prior to stepping out the door in uniform. Well, on the night before a drill weekend every month I would sit down with my boots and a

An Interview With Michael Broom, Concept & Storyboard Artist For The Walking Dead & More

When most people think of a movie their first thoughts are that of the actors or the director, but special effects artists are the backbone of any great film. Special effects master, storyboard and concept artist, and comic book creator Michael Broom took the time to answer a few questions about his career and the creatures he has created. You might not know it, but you have seen Broom’s creations many times. He has worked on a number films including The Mist, The Cabin in the Woods, The Thing (2011), The Crazies, Jennifer’s Body, Predators, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, R.I.P.D, and Lost Boys: The Tribe, as well as series like AMC’s mega hit The Walking Dead, and MTV’s Teen Wolf. Horror Fuel: “What got you interested in Special effects, makeup, and creature design?” Broom: “I grew up in the heyday of the Monster Renaissance. Star Wars, Alien, JAWS all came about around the same time. Couple that with TV showings of

First Look at The Predator Set

News keeps pouring in about the upcoming Predator film. Finally, a picture from the set has surfaced. I am positive there will be many more, but this first one is extremely exciting. Not only does it show Thomas Jane chilling on a tank, but it shows TWO Predators. This film is not a reboot. It takes place after the events of the first film, but will be focused in a suburban area rather than a remote jungle. We are told that the government is aware of the aliens and it appears as though a military task force is being sent to kill the predator. The cast for this R-Rated, promised-to-be-bloody movie looks amazing and now the prospect of a second predator. Keep posted here for more news. The Predator is scheduled for release on August 3rd, 2018

The Rock, Wrestlemania, and Predator

As I sit on my couch watching Wrestlemania, I saw this news which is both fantastic and sad. Sad because Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will apparently not be at Wrestlemania this year, but the reasoning is fantastic! Yes, news of additions to the cast of Predator are becoming nearly daily news, but this one feels bigger than others. The Rock will be laying the smack down on The Predator! The Brahma Bull joins the previously announced Thomas Jane, Edward James Olmos, Sterling K. Brown, Trevante Rhodes, Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Olivia Munn, Alfie Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, Augusto Aguilera, and Keegan-Michael Key. I think you all will join me in my excitement for this movie. I have no doubt that it will live up to the hype!

Edward James Olmos Joins Already Stellar Predator Cast

I know, I know, it is starting to seem like every day has a new member of the already in production Predator reboot. It is beginning to be like The Expendables of horror…and I love every second of it! Edward James Olmos is the latest to join the cast of Predator. No word on his part or anything, but he is confirmed and, in my opinion, that makes the movie even better. Stay tuned to horrorfuel.com for all the updates, all the news and all the horror you can handle.

New Predator Will be Bigger and Bloodier (updated)

In preparation for the upcoming Predator film, I just watched the original and was reminded of the franchise’s greatness. Yeah, it’s been watered down a bit over a few movies and crossovers (although they were fun in their own right). I was thrilled to hear that Shane Black (who played Hawkins in the original) is directing the upcoming Fred Dekker written film. And even more thrilled at the news Black posted on his twitter account. @BonadfideBlack and, just to be clear… PG-13 is for pussies. Spines bleed… a lot. Now, gore doesn’t guarantee a good movie, but Black knows and loves the franchise, promises a return to the spirit of the first movie and rumors that it will be set in an urban location with a bigger, and stronger genetically engineered predator (in case an invisible, knife wielding alien with a laser on his shoulder wasn’t good enough). The ever- growing cast includes Boyd Holbrook, Jacob Tremblay, Sterling K. Brown,

Thomas Jane Joins The Fight Against The Predator

The cast of ‘The Predator’ keeps growing and is only getting better. A few days ago we reported that Sterling K. Brown had joined the cast alongside Keegan-Michael Key, Olivia Munn, Trevante Rhodes, and Boyd Holbrook. THR is reporting that Thomas Jane is in final negotiations to join the fight. Jane is far from a new-comer to the genre. Recently, Jane faced a possessed boy in ‘Incarnate‘. He’s been up against nightmares come to life in ‘Before I Wake‘, giant monsters in ‘The Mist’, survived genetically altered sharks in ‘Deep Blue Sea’, and kicked ass as ‘Punisher’. Shane Black is in the director’s chair for ‘The Predator’ which is being described as both a sequel to the original and a reboot. Black co-wrote the film along with ‘Monster Squad’ writer Fred Dekker. ‘The Predator’ is set to being filming soon and scheduled to open in theaters on February 9, 2018.

Benicio Del Toro May Take On The Predator In The New Reboot

Back in May, we reported that the ‘Predator’ reboot had been given a new 2018 release date. News came today, via Deadline, that actor Benicio Del Toro is currently in talks to star. Del Toro has long history of great roles and a lot of talent. He has starred in many films including ‘Sicario’, ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’, ‘The Wolfman’, ‘Sin City’, and ‘The Usual Suspect’. Del Toro also made a cameo on an episode of ‘Tales from the Crypt’. . ‘The Predator’ will be directed by Shane Black who is very familiar with the 1987 original film. He should be, he was in it. Black played the role of Hawkins and co-starred alongside Arnold Schwarzenegger, who is in talks to return for reboot. Black co-wrote the script with Fred Dekker (Monster Squad). Allegedly, the alien warrior will be getting a redesign for ‘The Predator’, with the intent of making it bigger and badder. Unfortunately, we will have to wait
