THE PLAGUE DOCTOR Still Currently Seeking Backers At Indiegogo
Greetings my Little Monsters. I’m here right now to inform you all that the clock is winding down on Emanuele Mengotti’s campaign at Indiegogo, to fund his beautifully macabre film, set on the legendary Venetian island of Poveglia, The Plague Doctor. There are currently only four days remaining to contribute and help the producers reach their $25,000 goal so they may bring this nightmarish vision to life. The filmmaker’s synopsis of The Plague Doctor describes the film as, “The story of Mattia, a talented young doctor, takes place in Venice. He is summoned to care for an old writer, Riccardo, by his niece, Valentina. Before reaching Riccardo’s dwelling, Mattia passes by Poveglia, an ancient island in the Venetian Lagoon where several events related to the history and culture of the “Serenissima” took place.
