An Update For The Upcoming “Alien” Series

The Alien universe is expanding once again, this time with a new TV series for FX from showrunner Noah Hawley, the man behind “Fargo” and “Legion.” First announced back in December of 2020, the series is produced by Ridley Scott. While details are being kept quiet, we do know that the seventh installment of the franchise will not be about Ripley (Sigourney Weaver), instead it will be a completely new story and will be set on Earth. Howley revealed a few details during a recent interview with Vanity Fair. Hawle said “The alien stories are always trapped… trapped in a prison, trapped in a spaceship. I thought it would be interesting to open it up a little bit so that the stakes of ‘What happens if you can’t contain it?’ are more immediate. Those are great monster movies, but they’re not just monster movies,” Hawley continued, “They’re about humanity trapped between our primordial, parasitic past and our artificial intelligence future—and

Netflix Review: Army of the Dead (2021)

Zack Snyder’s highly anticipated zombie flick Army of the Dead has finally premiered on Netflix and fulfills all the filmmaker’s promises of incredible badass action. It all begins like so many horror movies do, with a government experiment gone wrong while trying to create a super soldier. During transport the government’s experiment escapes and begins infecting all of Las Vegas. In the movie Dave Bautista’s Scott Ward gets an offer he can’t refuse, to put together a team and head into Las Vegas, now walled off and filled to the brim with zombies, to retrieve $200 million sitting in a vault. Ward’s team is made up of the actors Omari Hardwick, a big mofo who carries a saw, Ana de la Reguera who plays Marie, Scott’s possible love interest, Matthias Schweighöfer who serves as the safecracker, Nora Arnezeder as the coyote, and a helicopter pilot played by Tig Notaro who serves up a lot of the movie’s comic relief. Evan Peter’s Role In “American Horror Story: Double Feature” Revealed

As always, Ryan Murphy and the folks over at “American Horror Story” have been keeping details quiet, leaving fans pretty clueless about season 10, titled “Double Feature.” There are a lot of returning cast members, one being Evan Peters. A photo has just shared via the “AHS: Double Feature” Instagram account, giving us our first look at Peters on the set. It also reveals who Peters will be playing. The actor will be reprising his role as Tate Langdon, the serial killer/school shooter from “AHS: Murder House.” While Peters has starred in many seasons, Tate remains his most memorable role. In the image, he’s wearing an oversized striped sweater and shaggy hair, just like he wore in season 1. While it doesn’t tell us the plot, it’s at least a clue that “Double Feature” may connect past seasons. Other returning actors include Sarah Paulson, Lily Rabe, Frances Conroy, Finn Wittrock, Leslie Grossman, Angelica Ross, Billy Porter, Denis O’Hare, and Billie

Abbey Grace – Everything You’ve Already Seen in One, Fun Plot

Just finished watching Stephen Durham’s Abbey Grace and, although it isn’t a perfect movie, I definitely enjoyed watching it. The movie focuses on a sister (Debbie Sheridan) who returns to her childhood home to look after her agoraphobic brother (Jacob Hobbs). Both Sheridan and Hobbs offer convincing performances of the frustrations they feel and can’t seem to understand in each other. However, as the movie progressed, it became very clear why they got he leads as opposed to the other actors in the film. Invited to the house to observe Hobbs’ character, Amber Gallaway plays a renowned doctor who wasn’t necessarily a bad actress, but she seemed more like a giddy valley-girl in booty shorts as opposed to a highly touted professional. Semi Anthony, the exorcist, used an accent that was so muddles and off that I was waiting to know if he was joking or not….the film should have been a two- person cast. Aside from the downhill spiral
