Players Take On The Hoard In ‘World War Z’

Gamers and fans of the film and book ‘World War Z’ will be able to take their love of the story a step further and actually be in the middle of the body-piling chaos along with friends in the upcoming 4 player Co-Op video game by Saber Interactive. The overall story is unknown but takes players to recognizable locations from the film as well as some locations that were not in the film. Players can make traps, upgrade weapons, build barriers, and use their surroundings to keep back and survive the (debatable) undead hoard. My prediction is the game will resemble that of ‘Left 4 Dead’ and ‘Killing Floor’ both game series focus on teamwork and reaching objectives while surviving an onslaught of zombies. The game will be available for PlayStation 4, Xbox One and PC, you can check out the reveal trailer below and check out the website here!

Christmas Comes Early For ‘Resident Evil 7’ Fans

Mark your calendars, the long-awaited DLC ‘Not a Hero’ for Capcom’s critically acclaimed hit, ‘Resident Evil 7: Biohazard’ is coming next week! The game was released in January of 2017 and scared many veteran fans of the game series where the game’s mechanics have changed from being a third-person action survival horror game to a first-person horror game. At the end of the game players meet a character who said his name was “Redfield”, a surname familiar with fans of the series which lead to speculations of whether or not the character is a member of the Redfield family or not since the helicopter he rode in on has the new looking Umbrella Co. logo on it (Umbrella is an organization that plays the role of the reoccurring antagonists in the game series). After the game credits players are hit with a teaser picture of Redfield in action as it’s announcing that in spring of 2017 the DLC Not a

Gaming: The Evolution Of A Billion Dollar Industry

Video Games, the mention of that word brings up many images the most common one being someone who’s wasting their life over “Cheap” entertainment. Well, a gamer like me and others can say one thing; it’s an expensive hobby and we get a lot of enjoyment out of it. Video Games and Gaming itself has evolved over the years and has developed a strong subculture and industry that brings in billions of dollars a year, combining revenue made by the Gaming industry in 2017 they made $108 Billion in total, more than oil company Gazprom made last year ($102.1B)! A recent Info graph by website HistoryDegree.Net shows that not only is the gaming world changing but so is the profits made by companies. Video Games started off as the beloved and hated quarter-eating arcade games that you would find in stores, restaurants, and malls the first and most notable game, Pong. That changed in 1972 when the new concept of

Martian Insanity In ‘Moons Of Madness’

Norwegian game developer Rock Pocket Games is sending gamers to Mars where Lovecraftian horrors await in ‘Moons of Madness’. The game is a first-person psychological horror story where players take on the role of astronaut Shane Newhart who encounters supernatural events at the first research station on the red planet. The game takes a twist on the insanity element of the game where developers came up with a “Zone-Out” mechanic where players see through Shane’s eyes a mix of Shane’s past, events that have not happened yet or things Shane should not know but now does. These Zone-Out events are to add to the anxiety of the game for players making them question what information they are getting from these unique hallucinations are real or not. Keeping with true Lovecraft elements, when humanity thinks it understands the universe it throws a horrific curveball, exploring the unknown without really being prepared for it, ‘Moons of Madness’ is set to be released

Survival Horror & WWI In ‘Ad Infinitum’

‘Ad Infinitum’ means again and again in the same way; forever. Kind of along the lines of the saying, “Insanity is doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results.” That seems to be hinting at what’s going to happen to players when they play StrixLab’s upcoming survival horror game, ‘Ad Infinitum’. According to the StrixLap website, the game takes place in a trench during the First World War but there are horrific creatures stalking around in them. While playing in first person, you have to solve puzzles, avoid traps and of course, avoiding the creatures whiles the lines of insanity and the horrors of war become blurred. The game is set to be released for PC and possibly for Console, the release date is unknown at this time but after seeing the trailer, I hope it’s soon and does make it to console!
