Former Police Officer Charged As The Golden State Serial Killer

From 1978 to 1986, the Golden State Killer (aka The East Area Rapist) took the lives of 12 people and raped 46 women in California. He often tied up men and forced them to watch their companions being raped before he killed them. The Golden State Killer’s murders and rapes were not linked until 2000. He remained nameless and free until Wednesday when a task force of local law enforcement and federal investigators announced that they had finally arrested a suspect. Tuesday afternoon Joseph James DeAngelo Jr. was taken into custody at his Sacramento home and charged with eight counts of murder. Hulu Releases Teaser Trailer For Their New Series ‘Dimension 404’

Ahead of its April premiere date, the teaser for Hulu’s new anthology series, Dimension 404, has arrived. Reportedly, the six-episode series, inspired by the Internet’s “404” code, aims to evoke “that 3 AM feeling of wandering onto the weird side of the web, stumbling upon stories that cannot be explained in the world that we know.” Joel McHale has signed on to play Mr. Maker, a charismatic, eccentric, and slightly patronizing founder of a matchmaking service. Modern Family actress Sarah Hyland has been cast as Chloe, a cute high school girl who is just discovering boys, Variety reports. Scream Queen’s Lea Michele will play the play Amanda, a warm-hearted girl who turns to the matchmaker service after a bad breakup. And Robert Buckley (iZombie) is cast as Adam who falls hard and fast for Amanda. Megan Mullally, Constance Wu, Patton Oswalt, Ashley Rickards, Sterling Beaumon, Ryan Lee, Matt Lauria, Utkarsh Ambudkar, and Malcolm Barrett will co-star. Freddie Wong is in

Amazing Stories Revival In The Hands Of Hannibal Creator Bryan Fuller

As a kid, one of my favorite things to watch was reruns of Steven Spielberg’s Amazing Stories. The series featured episodes that were everything from sci-fi to horror and was directed by the who’s who of directors including Martin Scorsese, Tom Holland, Tobe Hooper and Spielberg himself. But sadly, the show ended in 1987, after just two seasons. At SXSW Hannibal creator Bryan Fuller revealed that he is currently writing scripts for the show’s revival. He will be joined in the writers’ room by Emily Gordon, Patton Oswalt, Kumail Nanjiani, and Jane Goldman, Crave reports. We are working on a variety of scripts from a variety of sources, and we’ve got a lot of really great writers involved.” Fuller told Crave. “So it feels like I’m curating the Amazing Stories magazine. Yeah, so that’s very exciting because I get to collaborate with other writers and just let them do their thing under that umbrella, which is a relief.” Image: Crave
