Movie Review: Primal Is All Growl And No Bite (2019)

From director Nick Powell comes Primal starring Nicolas Cage (Mandy), Famke Janssen “How to Get Away with Murder”), and Kevin Durand (“The Strain”). The film tells the story of an animal trafficker (Cage) who boards a ship that is also carrying an ex-military assassin (Durand) taken into custody, a few soldiers and a doctor (Janssen), along with ship’s crew and the trafficker’s cargo which includes a rare white jaguar. As the journey begins, the assassin breaks free unleashes the Jaguar and begins killing people off one by one. Everyone knows who Nicolas Cage is and his reputation for his films being hit or miss. In the case of Primal, it’s a big miss. Cage’s dialogue and acting is so forced that it’s almost painful. The only thing worse is the spray-on-beard he’s wearing. There are zero redeeming qualities about his character Frank Walsh. He’s a dick who traffics animals, but we’re expected to cheer for him or identify with him

Nicolas Cage Teases His Next Movie Is His Wildest Yet

Nicolas Cage has starred in some pretty wild films, most recently Mandy which is balls to the wall crazy. You would think that it is the craziest he can get, but you’d be wrong. During the third annual Macao International Film Festival this past weekend Cage teased that his next film, Prisoners of the Ghostland, the English-language debut of Sion Sono (Suicide Club), is his craziest yet. And that’s saying something. I’m thrilled about it! It’s unlike anything I’ve ever read before. It might be the wildest movie I’ve ever made, and that’s saying something,” Cage told the crowd. “It’s out there. I wear a skintight black leather jumpsuit with grenades attached to different body parts, and if I don’t rescue the governor’s daughter from this state line where they’re all ghosts and bring her back they’re gonna blow me up.” He continued, “It’s just crazy. It’s way out there.” According to IMDb, Prisoners of the Ghostland is a supernatural

‘Mandy’ Makes Its Streaming Premiere Exclusively On Shudder This November

Directed by Panos Cosmatos (Beyond the Black Rainbow) and produced by SpectreVision, XYZ Films, and Umedia, Mandy stars Oscar and Golden Globe-winner Nicolas Cage in a stunning performance that critics are celebrating as one of the best in his long and illustrious career—and which Entertainment Weekly raves is “insane (in all the right ways).” Cage stars as a man whose peaceful woodland existence with his wife is brutally shattered by a nightmarish religious cult and their demon-biker henchmen, propelling him into a spiraling, surreal rampage of vengeance. Andrea Riseborough (Birdman, Bloodline) and Linus Roache (Homeland, Batman Begins) also star. AMC’s streaming network for horror and thrillers, Shudder has acquired the exclusive streaming rights to Mandy in the U.S. from RLJ Entertainment and the Canadian rights from Elevation Pictures. Fans of the original 1973 or the flop 2006 remake of The Wicker Man can now scream as loud as they want at Alton Towers Resort’s upcoming roller coaster of the same name. On January 8th, Alton Towers announced the new ride and the opening date, as it’s now under construction. Alton Towers says the ride will be ready in time for the park’s season opening in the spring in Alton, Staffordshire, England. The roller coaster will be the first wooden roller coaster built in the UK in 21 years with the concept of fusing fire and wood, yes, fire. That aspect of the ride has raised some concerns for ride goers on social media saying that they don’t think it’s a good idea. Contrary to Alton Towers’ statement, this is not the first time a wooden roller coaster was fused with fire. The company building the ride, Great Coasters International, has made two roller coasters in the past that
