Pam Grier Has Boarded The Upcoming ‘Pet Semataty’ Prequel

The upcoming new installment of the Pet Sematary franchise, set to air exclusively on Paramount+, has added legendary actress Pam Grier (Foxy Brown, Jackie Brown, Mars Attacks) to its cast, Variety reports. Grier joins previously announced cast members Natalie Alyn Lind (“Big Sky”), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), Jack Mulhern (“Mare of Easttown”), and newcomer Isabella Star LaBlanc, with Jackson White (“Mrs. Fletcher”) playing a young version of Jud Crandall. As we reported earlier this month, the movie will serve as a prequel to the Stephen King classic with which Lindsey Beer (Sierra Burgess Is a Loser) will be making her directorial debut. Beer also wrote the latest draft of the movie’s script originally written by Jeff Buhler who penned the 2019 adaptation of the classic. At this time the film’s title has yet to be announced. It is set to begin filming this August. We’ll keep you posted.

And no one is safe. In the film, “Adela (Ana de la Reguera, Cowboys & Aliens) and her husband Juan (Tenoch Huerta, Days of Grace) live in Texas, where Juan is working as a ranch hand for the wealthy Tucker family. Juan impresses the Tucker patriarch, Caleb (Will Patton, Halloween), which fuels the jealous anger of Caleb’s son, Dylan (Josh Lucas, Ford v Ferrari). Blu-ray Review: Initiation (2021)

When a girl is assaulted at a frat party during pledge week a series of murders strike the campus sending everyone into a panic in Initiation, from director John Berardo. One of the reasons the 90s were so epic for the horror genre was because of the amount and quality of slasher movies that were unleashed, movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream. Initiation feels like it is straight from that era, while still remaining current. Initiation delivers both great effects, an interesting story, and keeps the masked killer’s identity under wraps until the last possible moment, leaving you wondering who could be the man in the hoodie that loves power tools. And I must say, that the identity is a nice twist that I didn’t see coming, which is rare these days. As for the kills, there are several that you haven’t seen before, which is surprising seeing the number of horror movies that come

Paramount+ Is Taking Us Back To The ‘Pet Sematary’ With A New Prequel

The world of Pet Sematary is expanding with a new prequel in the works at Paramount+, which will be Lindsey Beer’s feature directorial debut. Jeff Buhler, who penned the script for the 2019 adaptation, based on the Stephen King story, wrote the prequel which was last revised by Beer, THR is reporting. Natalie Alyn Lind (“Big Sky,” “Tell Me a Story”), Jack Mulhern (“Mare of Easttown”), Forrest Goodluck (The Revenant), and Isabella Star LaBlanc have joined the cast with Jackson White (“Mrs. Fletcher”) playing a young Jud Crandall. While there have been no plot details revealed at this point, there are a couple of ways it could go. We can’t help but wonder if the prequel will involve the cautionary story that Jud recounts to Louis about Timmy, the young man who was the last person buried in the Pet Sematary. During the story, Jud says those famous lines, “Sometimes dead is better.” But we could be completely wrong. We
