New Bold ‘Suspira’ Posters Unveiled Ahead Of Release

Two new posters have arrived for Luca Guadagnino‘s Suspiria created by La Boca Design Studio. Both feature a bold, contrasting design with a Hindu inspired flare. There absolutely fantastic. When we received the invitation to create a poster for Suspiria we were delighted. As avid fans of Dario Argento’s 1977 Suspiria, we knew this was an adventure we had to embark on. Once we had seen the film we realized it was wasn’t really a remake at all, it’s an altogether different experience, and gloriously exhilarating and disturbing in its own unique way.” La Boca Studio has stated. We decided to base our design around the ‘Volk’ dance performance which appears late in the movie. The dance is such a pivotal scene, full of all the right kinds of tension and energy. We set about creating the design as if it were a poster for Volk, almost so one could imagine the artwork appearing on a wall within the film

Luca Guadagnino’s ‘Suspiria’ Made Quentin Tarantino Cry

Luca Guadagnino‘s Suspiria is still months away from opening in theaters, but a few people have already seen it, including Quentin Tarantino who has given it a rave review. While talking to the Italian outlet La Repubblica, the director revealed that he shared his version of Dario Argento’s classic to Tarantino. I showed it to Quentin Tarantino. We’ve been friends since our jury duty at the Venice Film Festival,” Guadagnino said. “I was nervous but eager to hear his advice. We saw it at his place and his reaction warmed me. He was enthusiastic about it, in the end he was crying and hugged me. Because it’s a horror movie but also a melodrama, my goal was to make you look at the horror without being able to take [your eyes off the screen] because you’re captivated by the characters. Amazon is very happy.” Dakota Jonson stars in Guadagnino’s Suspiria as an aspiring dancer who uncovers dark secrets in her

Showing Of Suspiria (2018) At CinemaCon Sends Twitter Into A Frenzy

We’ve been waiting for a while to hear more about Oscar-nominated director Luca Guadagnino ‘s new version of Dario Argento’s Suspiria. Yesterday, crowds at CinemaCon finally got a look and it sent people on Twitter into a frenzy. Ummm I am traumatized after seeing a scene from "Suspiria" in which Dakota Johnson controls the body of another woman as she dances. The woman's body literally cracks in half. She is like, torn apart. Spitting, urinating, bleeding. It's… A lot. #CinemaCon — Amy Kaufman (@AmyKinLA) April 26, 2018 First clip from Suspiria invokes a dancer being thrown around like a rag doll telekinetically in a mirrored rehearsal space, bones breaking, becoming a contorted mess. Very gruesome and hard to watch. This film will make most people feel uneasy. #CinemaCon — /Film (@slashfilm) April 26, 2018 Dakota Johnson stars alongside Chloe Grace-Moretz, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Angela Winkler, Sylvie Testud, Malgosia Bela, Jessica Harper, and Lutz Ebersdorf. Written by David Kajganich, based on the 1977 original film from Argento and Daria Nicolodi, the film centers on a young American ballerina who comes to train at a prestigious German dance academy. After a series of gruesome murders take place she slowly unravels the academy’s sinister truth. Guadgnino’s Superia has an all-star cast that includes Chloë Moretz, Dakota Johnson, Tilda Swinton, Mia Goth, Jessica Harper, Sylvie Testud, Angela Winkler, Ingrid Caven, and Malgorzata Bela. Frenesy Film Company, First Sun Films, Mythology Entertainment, and Memo Films are producing. James Vanderbilt, Massimiliano, Paul Deason, and Carlo Antonelli serve as executive producers.
