Home Invasion Horror ‘Nefarious’ Breaks Out This March

Gravitas Ventures, a Red Arrow Studios company, is set to release the award-winning horror Nefarious, a home invasion horror-thriller featuring a robbery gone horribly wrong. Starring Toby Wynn-Davies (Escape From Cannibal Farm), Nadia Lamin (Hosts) and newcomer Buck Braithwaite, the indie horror was directed by Richard Rowntree from a script he co-wrote with Matthew Davies (Dogged). In our review, we said it had “a ton of entertainment value”. Ready, Steady, Cut described it as “a nasty little film, just as intended” and “a brutal little success”. Ash Mountain Films said of the deal “We’re very excited to be partnering with Gravitas on the release of our second feature film in the horror genre, and hope that it serves horror fans and beyond with a thrilling experience.” Nefarious will be unleashed on March 17, 2020.

Movie Review: ‘Dogged’ Is Laden With Disturbingly Dark Secrets

A young man named Sam is returning from university to his boyhood home, located in a village on a tidal island called Farthing Island. The purpose of his visit is to attend the funeral of a young girl who died in a tragic, albeit mysterious, accident, and to also attend the community’s annual Festival of Thanks. Of course sometimes going back home isn’t as comforting an experience as one would hope, and in the wake of the recent tragedy this small town is cloaked in a shroud of secrecy. Something clandestine is afoot on Farthing Island, and Sam will learn he isn’t just paranoid as he uncovers a disturbing part of the village’s history. Richard Rowntree was at the helm for Dogged, which he and Matthew Davies co-scripted with. Rowntree has successfully taken his original short film, which had a duration of merely 4 minutes, and turned into an entertaining feature. I would liken this story to a darker and
