Hellblazers Get Ready To Raise Some Hell, Constantine Is Getting A New Series!

Back in 2015, fans were crushed when NBC canceled the supernatural series “Constantine.” Fans’ (known as Hellblazers) efforts went so far as circulating petitions to bring the series back for another season to no avail. Even though an animated series did bring the character back to life and he did appear in “Arrow”, it just wasn’t the same. It’s been four years and just when we thought we’d never see another episode of “Constantine,” but we were wrong. That’s right, the bad boy is back! A new “Constantine” series is in development at Warner Bros. and they want Matt Ryan to reprise his role! With “Swamp Thing” premiering this May it’s a perfect time to bring back “Constantine“, exorcist and practitioner of the dark arts. After all, he did make his comic debut in Alan Moore’s Swamp Thing before getting his own comic Hellblazer. Here’s a look back at the trailer for NBC’s series.

A First Look At The New ‘Constantine’ Animated Series

Fans were crushed when TV’s “Constantine” was canceled by NBC back in 2015 (we still hold out hope that a network will revive it). But the good news is that the animated “Constantine” series will soon premiere on The CW’s Seed streaming service. Matt Ryan will reprise the role of the iconic comic book character Constantine for the animated series which is said to be darker than the live-action version that we loved so much. The character will be closer to its Hellblazer roots. Ryan will also appear in the upcoming “Legends of Tomorrow” episode “Necromancing the Stone” as Constantine on March 24th. He’ll also appear in the series’ finale, comicbook.com reports. Don’t miss “Constantine”, arriving on CW Seed on March 24, 2018. Here’s a first look at the new series.

Matt Ryan To Reprise His Role As John Constantine In New CW Series

Fans were crushed when NBC canceled the fantastic, perfectly cast, supernatural series ‘Constantine’. They have continued to begs networks to revive the series and The CW was listening. The network has announced that they are bringing ‘Constantine’ back with Matt Ryan reprising his role, but there is a catch, the series will be animated. The show will air on The CW’s digital network, CW Seed. Deadline reports that five 10-minute episodes have been ordered so far. The new show will air alongside CW Seed’s ‘Vixen’, a character who has also made appearances on ‘Arrow‘ and ‘DC’s Legends of Tomorrow’. This isn’t the first time Matt Ryan has appeared as an animated Constantine. The character also appeared in this year’s ‘Justice League Dark‘. With so many people interested in ‘Constantine’ I can’t help but wonder why a network hasn’t revived the live action series.

No, sadly, there has been no action to bring back the series we loved so much, but we will see Ryan reprise his role in animated form. Constantine will be making his film debut in the upcoming Justice League Dark animated film, SuperHero Hype reports. I really wanted to jump into this project to play Constantine in a different context. Around some of the iconic that are in the DC Dark World,” Ryan stated. Fans Are Calling For The Return Of Constantine

Fans were ecstatic to see Constantine make a cameo last week (November 4th) on ‘Arrow’. The episode (S4 Ep5), “Haunted”, proved a couple of things, that the fan base for Constantine, played by Matt Ryan, is very much alive and are still calling for the series’ return. The second thing, as if that wasn’t enough, the episode boosted ‘Arrow’s’ ratings by 10%, proving that Constantine still has value, of which, a network should be taking advantage. Earlier this year fans were crushed to learn that Constantine had been cancelled by NBC, after it’s first season and have since been begging for someone to bring the series back, with the cast from it’s one and only season. Fans have gone so far as starting a petition, that has already surpassed 50,000 signatures, in hopes that it will get the attention of a network. At the moment the rights to Constantine are owned by The El Rey Network, but there has been

NBC To Stream Season One Of ‘Constantine’

I know Constantine fans are loosing there minds while waiting to find out if NBC will renew the show for a second season. I’m right there with you all, I love Constantine. Even though the show is still in Limbo, I do have a little good news. NBC will begin streaming the entire first season on their website April 24, for a limited period of time. It’s unknown if the views on the website will influence Constantine’s chances for renewal. Either way, it’s a great chance to catch up on missed episodes or just rewatch the series from beginning to end (hopefully not “The End”). For first time watchers here is what it’s all about: Occultist Constantine (Matt Ryan), along with his right hand man Chaz (Charles Halford), the lovely psychic Zed (Angelica Celaya) travel to sites with seriously bad mojo, in attempts to help reign in the evil. Constantine is watched over by his guardian angel Manny (Harold Perrineau).
