Bring Home The Horror Thriller ‘Coming Home In The Dark’ This November

A family’s outing turns into a terrifying nightmare in writer-director James Ashcroft‘s horror-thriller Coming Home in the Dark. In the film, a family’s outing descends into terror when teacher Alan Hoaganraad, his wife Jill, and stepsons Maika and Jordon explore an isolated coastline. An unexpected meeting with a pair of drifters – the enigmatic psychopath Mandrake and his accomplice Tubs – thrusts the family into a nightmare after the duo kidnaps them and embarks on a road trip to hell. Co-written by Eli Kent, Coming Home in the Dark stars Daniel Gillies, Erik Thomspon, Miriama McDowell, and Matthis Luafutu and is produced by Mike Minogue, Catherine Fitzgerald, and Desray Armstrong. James Ashcroft executive produces. Coming Home in the Dark is out on Blu-ray and DVD on November 9, 2021, from Dark Sky Films.

The Battle Begins After Victims’ Limbs Are Swapped For Weapons In ‘Spare Parts’

This summer an all-girl band falls prey to a sadistic madman and forced to battle in RLJE Films’ action-horror Spare Parts, by director Andrew Thomas Hunt (Sweet Karma). The movie is set “in a godforsaken bar in the middle of nowhere where an all-girl band – Ms. 45 – rips the stage apart with their punk spirit. But their performance impresses an enthusiastic fan who lures the girls into a trap, sedates them, and starts…customizing them. Slowly they begin to gain consciousness and, in total shock, realize their arms have all been replaced with axes and chainsaws to fight gladiator-style in a junkyard arena owned by a sadistic “emperor,” forcing them into the battle of their lives with one prize in mind – their freedom.” Written by David Murdoch (“The KNTV Show”) and Svet Rouskov (“Darken: Before the Dark”), this insane film stars Julian Richings (“Supernatural”), Michelle Argyris (“General Hospital”), Emily Alatalo (Mother!), Kiriana Stanton (“The Expense”) and Chelsea Muirhead

“No One Saw A Thing”: The Town Of Skidmore Missouri And Ken Rex

If you have not heard of the town of Skidmore Missouri you are not alone. If you have heard of this tiny little dot on a map, it is probably because of the events disclosed in the documentary “No One Saw A Thing” (2019). I watched the Sundance Documentary this past weekend and while this is not going to be a review of the six-part documentary, I do recommend it. Instead of a review, I wanted instead to give details of the documentary because it is a town rife with tragedy, violence, and a Freddy Krueger-like curse. Each event on its own would be worth an article (or documentary), but for all of these things to have happened in a town of between 200-300 people is absolutely astounding. Skidmore is the site of one of the most public and notorious events of vigilante justice outside of Marvel movies. On July 10, 1981, Kenneth, Rex McElroy was murdered in broad daylight
