The film is set in the Cecil Hotel in downtown Los Angeles, the very same hotel that inspired last season’s ‘American Horror Story: Hotel’. The hotel has a dark and deadly past and once served as home to a serial killer. The Cecil Hotel also has had a long history of mysterious deaths, suicides, and disappearances.
