Movie Review: A Quiet Place: Part Two (2021)

In 2018, John Krasinski delivered A Quiet Place, which was hit with critics and viewers alike. Now, the sequel is coming to Blu-ray and DVD in just a few days. A Quiet Place: Part Two begins by revealing what happened the day the creatures arrived, with the small town seeing balls of light in the sky falling to earth before the creatures suddenly appear to reak havoc on the town. The film then picks up right where the first movie left off with Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, and Noah Jupe leaving their home and facing the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly realize that the creatures that hunt by sound are not the only threats that lurk beyond their sand path. Sequels rarely live up to the original film, but that’s not the case with Part Two. We get a film that not only

Movie Review: Old (2021)

M. Night Shyamalan takes us on a trip to an exotic location in his new horror movie Old, out today in theaters. The movie begins with two families on vacation at an all-inclusive resort, but both families are hiding something from their families. The two families set off for a remote private beach that seems like a dream come true, but it’s actually a nightmare as the families, along with several other people, begin to notice changes in the children and then themselves, they are rapidly aging. The first thing I have to mention is the casting. The children are played by multiple actors as they age and the casting was dead on. That’s a hard task to pull off, but Old nailed it. The cast of adults was another great choice. They really emote the terror and confusion that their characters are experiencing. The cast includes Golden Globe winner Gael García Bernal (Amazon’s Mozart in the Jungle), Vicky Krieps

‘The Forever Purge’ Is Here!

This summer, all the rules are broken as a sect of lawless marauders decides that the annual Purge does not stop at daybreak and instead may never end in The Forever Purge. 2018’s The First Purge shattered records, now Blumhouse’s infamous terror franchise hurtles into innovative new territory as members of an underground movement, no longer satisfied with one annual night of anarchy and murder, decide to overtake America through an unending campaign of mayhem and massacre. And no one is safe. In the film, “Adela (Ana de la Reguera, Cowboys & Aliens) and her husband Juan (Tenoch Huerta, Days of Grace) live in Texas, where Juan is working as a ranch hand for the wealthy Tucker family. Juan impresses the Tucker patriarch, Caleb (Will Patton, Halloween), which fuels the jealous anger of Caleb’s son, Dylan (Josh Lucas, Ford v Ferrari). On the morning after The Purge, a masked gang of killers attacks the Tucker family—including Dylan’s wife (Cassidy Freeman,

Blu-ray Review: Initiation (2021)

When a girl is assaulted at a frat party during pledge week a series of murders strike the campus sending everyone into a panic in Initiation, from director John Berardo. One of the reasons the 90s were so epic for the horror genre was because of the amount and quality of slasher movies that were unleashed, movies like I Know What You Did Last Summer and Scream. Initiation feels like it is straight from that era, while still remaining current. Initiation delivers both great effects, an interesting story, and keeps the masked killer’s identity under wraps until the last possible moment, leaving you wondering who could be the man in the hoodie that loves power tools. And I must say, that the identity is a nice twist that I didn’t see coming, which is rare these days. As for the kills, there are several that you haven’t seen before, which is surprising seeing the number of horror movies that come

Amazon Celebrates Success Of ‘The Tomorrow World’ With New Killer Poster

To celebrate the success of The Tomorrow War, Amazon has teamed up with Aldis Hodge’s (Brother of The Tomorrow War star Edwin Hodge and Star of One Night in Miami) artist collective, 9B Collective, to create an out of this world poster (above) featuring the film’s main cast. 9B Collective’s Kevin Tong created the final image saying: “Amazon’s THE TOMORROW WAR is at its core, a story about everyday people from all walks of life coming together to fight against an overwhelming threat. The part in the film that best exemplifies that is the portal because it is both a literal and figurative doorway to salvation and everyone goes through it and emerges at the same time, right into the action. The themes of diversity and using a doorway to drop into danger definitely informed this poster. To heighten that sense of danger and to create a stronger feeling of motion, I chose to make the direction of falling diagonal
