Shudder announced today they have renewed their hit docu-series “Cursed Films” for its second season which is currently in production and set to premiere in 2021, will turn its focus to a new group of “cursed” films whose titles will be revealed at a later date. Review: Shudder’s “Cursed Films: The Crow” and “Cursed Films: Twilight Zone: The Movie”

Cursed Films, the original five-part documentary series from streaming service Shudder, strives to examine the facts behind the rumors and the tragic events that affected the making of some beloved classic horror movies produced in the 1970s and 1980s. Cursed Films will reveal the events that haunted these productions through interviews with experts, witnesses and the cast, directors, and producers who lived through the real-life events. Were these films really cursed, as many believe, or just the victims of bad luck and bizarre circumstances? Cursed Films takes a fascinating look at why these iconic horror movies have gained such an outsized reputation for being the focus of bizarre tragedies and strange coincidences that seemingly defy explanation,” said Craig Engler, Shudder’s General Manager. The documentary is written, directed and edited by Jay Cheel (How to Build a
