Last month news came via Master of Horror John Carpenter that the upcoming Halloween movie would be in hands filmmaking team Danny McBride and David Gordon Green, with Green directing. Get Ready, We Are Going To ‘Purge’ Again – A New Sequel Coming

Universal Pictures has just announced that James DeMonaco is gearing up to bring genre fans another night of brutality, crime and murder in the fourth installment of ‘The Purge’. Right now details are scarce but we do know that producers Jason Blum, Brad Fuller, Michael Bay, Sébastiaen K. Lemercier and Andrew Form will be returning for the film, which will land in theaters on July 4, 2018. So far there has been no word about the cast or if Frank Grillo will return. In the last sequel, titled ‘The Purge: Election Year‘, Leo Barnes (Grillo) serves as head of security for presidential candidate Senator Charlie Roan (Elizabeth Mitchell). James McAvoy’s Character Reveals Multiple Personalities In The New Poster For Split

One of the films we are most looking forward to in 2017 is M. Night Shyamalan’s psychological thriller ‘Split’, starring James McAvoy as a kidnapper with split personalities, 23 of them to be exact. Today, we have the brand new poster. McAvoy has starred in many great roles, such as his lead role as Victor in 2015’s Victor Frankenstein , Charles Xavier in X-Men Days of Future Past and X-Men First Class, and Wesley in ‘Wanted’. McAvoy also co-starred for a season on Shameless (UK) as Kevin. But his character in ‘Split’ is one of his most challenging roles to date. In the film, McAvoy’s character, Kevin, has kidnapped three young women and taken them to his lair. As if things couldn’t get any worse for the women, they soon discover that their captor has several split-personalities, including those of the Kevin, a villain persona, a woman and a 9-year-old boy. It’s revealed that he has 23 personalities in all.

Lead Role Cast In The Sci-fi Thriller Stem From The Creator Of Saw And Insidious

Logan Marshall-Green, best known for his role in Ridley Scott’s ‘Prometheus’ and 2016’s ‘The Invitation‘, has been cast in the lead role in the upcoming sci-fi thriller ‘Stem’, written and directed by Leigh Whannel. You should recognize Whannel’s name, he is the co-creator of the ‘Insidious’ and ‘Saw’ franchises. “The script is set in the near-future when technology controls nearly all aspects of life and centers on a technophobe (Marshall-Green) who sets out to avenge his wife’s murder and his own paralysis-causing injury with the help of an experimental computer chip implant called Stem.” THR reports that Blumhouse is producing in association with Goalpost Pictures Australia. Jason Blum, Brian Kavanaugh-Jones, and Kylie du Fresne will also produce. The movie will begin filming in Whannel’s hometown of Melbourne, Australia this Spring. John Carpenter Gives An Update On His Reboot Of Halloween

Big news came this past May when it was announced that John Carpenter is teaming up with Blumhouse for reboot of ‘Halloween’. It was reported that Carpenter would serve as executive producer and possibly create the score. Which was huge news, seeing that Carpenter has not been involved with the franchise in decades. Unfortunately, the film hasn’t moved any further along than it was back in October when Jason Blum stated they were still looking for the best way to approach the reboot. During a conversation with Dark Universe, Carpenter revealed that it hasn’t gotten any closer to filming. I’ve known Jason [Blum] for a while, he came to me and said ‘How do you feel about this now that rights have diverted?’ and I said, ‘Sure, why not? Jen and Sylvia, talented writer-directors, breathe life into the series set in frightening locations. Competitors ride the Hellevator down, stopping at each floor where they must face horrifying challenges in hopes of making it back to the Hellevator to claims a purse of cash. GSN’s ‘Hellevator’, produced by Jason Blum, is back and bringing the fright to Friday nights. Hosted by the lovely and deadly directing sister duo of Jen and Sylvia Soska (American Mary, See No Evil 2), ‘Hellevator’ pits a group of contestants against terrifying challenges for a prize up to $50,000.
