Vertical’s Home Invasion Thriller ‘The Surprise Visit’ Is Out Today

Starring Academy Award Nominee Eric Roberts, Dopestick’s Tricia Hawn, Rob Riordan, Jacqi Vene, and Serah Henesey, director Nick Lyon’s intense, gritty and suspenseful thriller The Surprise Visit is out today from Vertical Entertainment. “When a young couple makes a surprise visit to Mom, they get an even bigger surprise themselves from an old family friend who plans to steal Mom’s valuable jewelry while she is out of town. But when the “easy peasy” robbery goes wrong, resulting in the accidental death of the daughter’s husband, it forces the two young drug addicts to make a difficult decision; to abandon ship, or do the unthinkable.” I love that THE SURPRISE VISIT is based on a true story that explores the themes of class difference and how desperation can make people do things that they might not otherwise do. The film is an American tragedy. I chose to tell THE SURPRISE VISIT in a gritty and realistic style that was complemented by

Movie Review: ‘See For Me’ Is A “Must See” Home Invasion Thriller

IFC kicks off 2022 with See For Me, director Randall Okita’s home invasion thriller that centers on a determined and independent blind young woman named Sophie (Skyler Davenport). Sophie makes extra cash by house and petting setting. Her latest gig takes her to a beautiful remote home. As she gets comfortable, she’s unaware that she will soon face three professional thieves (Pascal Langdale, Joe Pingue, George Tchortov) out for a big score. Sophie is guided through the house by a “See For Me” app that connects visually impaired users with people who can aid in all types of tasks including navigating and reading. In the film, Kelly (Jessica Parker Kennedy) serves as Sophie’s guide who becomes a key character, helping Sophie hide and defend herself. If you think Sophie would be a harmless pushover, simply because she can’t see, you would be sorely mistaken. She is tough, but she’s also realistic. There’s no superhero-style fighting or unrealistic events. This character

Sink Your Teeth Into The Trailer For Peacock’s New Original Series “Wolf Like Me”

Director Abe Forsythe left us entertained with her horror-comedy Little Monsters. Now, he’s back and he’s reteaming with the movie’s actor Josh Gad for his new romantic dramedy series “Wolf Like Me” which has a genre twist. “Everyone brings their own set of baggage to a new relationship. Gary (Gad) and Mary (Isla Fisher) are no different. Gary is an emotional wreck and struggles to provide for his daughter since the death of his wife. Mary has a secret she can’t bring herself to share with anyone. The universe brought these two together for a reason, they just need to keep following the signs.” I’d love for audiences to go into watching the series not knowing where it’s going or what gets revealed as the show progresses because I think if that happens, then it’s going to shock and surprise people. You get to the end of every episode and there’s a reason that you have to keep watching.” Forsythe
