Top 5 Memorable Monsters In Videogames

With Halloween being the scariest time of the year, there’s no better time to reflect on some of the scariest monsters in videogames. After all, what’s good horror without something tall and murderous to scare the pants off you? The Slender Man (Slender: The Eight Pages) An abnormally skinny figure fitted in a tailored black suit, The Slender Man looks almost human. That is until you see his face, a smooth white dome, completely lacking in features. And even though he has no eyes, victims say they could feel Slender Man staring right through them. Starting off as a series of photo shopped images on the popular website 4chan.org The Slender Man reached peak popularity with the release of the video game “Slender: The Eight Pages.” Tasking the player with exploring a dilapidated camp site in search of the titular documents, “Slender” is made more difficult, and more terrifying, by the presence of the ever more aggressive Slender Man. An Update On ‘The Crooked Man’, ‘The Nun’, And ‘The Conjuring 3’

With The Nun, The Crooked Man, and The Conjuring 3 ,all in the works the universe seems to be expanding by leaps and bounds. Let’s not forget that Annabelle: Creation, from David F. Sandberg, will be opening in theaters this weekend. During a conversation with EW, producer-writer-director James Wan gave fans a tease of what they can expect from The Crooked Man, as well as giving an update on The Nun and The Conjuring 3. Wan stated that Corin Hardy’s Conjuring spin-off, The Nun, is now in post-production. The film centers on the back story of the Nun that stalked Lorraine warren, played by Vera Farmiga, in The Conjuring 2. The Conjuring 3 Now Possesses A Writer

The Conjuring 3 now possesses a writer. David Leslie Johnson has signed on to write the screenplay for the next film of the ever growing franchise that has just announced its latest spin-off, a movie about the “Crooked Man” featured in The Conjuring 2, which he wrote. He was also behind the disturbing thriller Orphan. The buzz is James Wan, who directed the first film and the second which he co-wrote along with Carey and Chad Hayes, won’t be directing the third installment. This go-around Wan will produce through his company Atomic Monster along with Peter Safran. While the plot has not been revealed we do know that it will continue to document Ed and Lorraine’s investigations. There is a theory circulating that The Conjuring 3 will feature a werewolf, but we will just have to wait until the official plot is released to know for sure. As it stands, The Conjuring 3 will be the seventh film of the

Horror Comic Kicked From Kickstarter After Raising $700 Over “Graphic Content”

Full disclosure- the comic in question is mine, the campaign was run by me, and we’re now up and running on Indiegogo for anyone interested, and one of our perks is actually writing your name on an egg and throwing it at a Kickstarter poster. We haven’t made back a fraction of what we’ve lost so far, but at least we’re still in the game. . While Horrorfuel readers might know me for my reviews, news, and general writings on the horror community, I’ve also been co-writing a comic for about a year now, Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror. Maybe you can guess from the title it’s not something you read to your kid before you tuck him in at night. And I fully admit, and in fact relish, that The Whorehouse of Horror is a book full of filth, depravity, and everything that mainstream sensibilities tell you to steer the fuck away from. But it’s also a book

Is ‘The Mummy’ As Bad As Everyone Says?

Yes. Yes it is. ………But I think its worth watching anyway, as a lesson in how not to make a horror movie, if nothing else. Studio horror rightfully gets a lot of shit, and The Mummy might just be the perfect example of a production studio that doesn’t have a fucking clue what horror fans want. But what this disaster-piece really does is show how little faith studios have in horror at all. Despite films like The Conjuring grossing over $300 Million dollars, film producers still don’t believe horror has the drawing power that more traditional Blockbuster and action films do. So rather than anything close to a horror movie, The Mummy is instead a big budget Tom Cruise action film, the start of a cinematic universe no less (on a related note, has anyone outside of Marvel even come close to a halfway watchable cinematic universe?) Never mind the fact that the mummy is a monster with literally thousands
