Man Arrested For Not Returning A 14 Year Old VHS Tape
Do you remember the joy of walking into a video rental store and seeing those marvelous shelves and isles full of potential frights? Of course, you do. At least once, you accidentally left a tape in a hot car, only to find a melted pile of distorted film or sat one on your car, only to forget about it, until you felt that thump as your tires crushed it to bits, or you may have just completely forgot you had it all together. Well, for one man in Concord, North Carolina his forgotten tape has landed him in jail. That’s right, jail. James Meyers was arrested for failing to return a 14 year-old VHS of 2002’s Freddy Got Fingered to J&J’s video, which is now closed. Meyers is also facing a whooping $200 fine.
