The First Image Of Bill Skarsgard As Pennywise Has Surfaced And It’s Pretty Damn Creepy

A few months ago we reported that the IT remake had cast Bill Skarsgard as Pennywise, a part originally played by Tim Curry. A few days ago we speculated what the new Pennywise might look like. Well, we don’t have to wonder any longer. The first real image of Bill Skarsgard in the makeup and red nose has arrived, via Entertainment Weekly. And I have to admit, he looks pretty damn creepy. Andy Muschietti (Mama) will be in the director’s chair for the two-part remake of IT, set to arrive in theaters on September 8, 2017. The first film centers on a group of teens, referred to as “The Losers Club”, who go head-to-head with the entity that takes the shape of Pennywise, a demented clown. The second will involve “The Losers Club” who have come back to town as adults and once again must face Pennywise.

Our First Look At Bill Skarsgard As Pennywise In The Upcoming IT Remake

We reported earlier this month that Bill Skarsgard has been cast as Pennywise, originally played by Tim Curry, the terrifying entity that appears as a clown in the remake of the mini series based on Stephen King’s novel IT. Skarsguard, most well known for his role on Eli Roth’s Netflix Original series Hemlock Grove and in The Divergent Series: Allegiant, will be putting on full makeup for the first time. Today, we finally get a look at Skarsgard as Pennywise, the clown that caused many people to develop a fear of all clowns, courtesy of a fan’s artwork. He looks scary in the poster below, but I look forward to seeing an actual photo of Skarsgard as the creepy clown. ‘IT’ Remake Finally Moving Forward

We reported earlier this year that a re-imagining of Stephen King’s classic ‘IT’ was in the works. Director Cary Fukunaga has since been replaced by Andy Muschietti (Mama). Variety offered an update earlier this week revealing that the first film in the new two-part series is set to begin filming next summer, one year later than originally planned. Will Poulter (We Are the Millers) had signed on to play Pennywise when Fukunaga was in charge, but it’s unclear at the moment if he will still play the creepy clown under Muschietti’s direction. There will be two films in place of King’s one. The first will focus on the group of kids from the original story, tormented by Pennywise. The second will follow the group as adults, returned to their home town, faced with Pennywise’s stalking once again.

The ‘IT’ Reboot Falls Into Chaos

Several issues have recently developed for the ‘IT’ reboot that was set to begin filming this summer. To start Warner Bros. will no longer be covering the movie, ‘IT’ has now shifted to New Line. Because of issues between Director Cary Fukunaga and the studios over budget, location and Fukunaga’s vision for the film, Fukunaga has quit the movie. The studio also did not agree with Fukunaga’s desire to split the tale into two films. There is no word yet about the rest of the cast and crew. Now that ‘IT’ has no director it seems to be dead in the water, but we will see if it floats. We will keep you updated on the movie’s status.

Cary Fukunaga is directing the new remake of the classic horror movie ‘IT’. Both the original mini series and the new film are based on the book by Stephen King. ‘IT’ tells the story of a group of teens called ‘The Losers Club’. The group must band together to battle a creepy creature that appears as a killer clown named Pennywise. Decades later the group returns to town and must once again go head to head with the clown, played by Tim Curry. Fukunaga’s version will be split into two movies. In the first movie they will address the battle of the kids and the second will cover the fight by the adults. The man to play the part of Pennywise in the new film is Will Poulter. Poulter, up till now, has played mostly comedic and light hearted roles, like the one he played in ‘We Are the Millers’. In my personal opinion, I don’t think anyone could fill
