IT: Chapter Two Director Adapting Two More Stephen King Novels For Films

Man, filmmaker Andy Muschietti really loves Stephen King, but don’t we all? Following the adaptation of King’s IT with IT:Chapter Two which is currently in theaters, director Muschietti has now signed on to adapt another King story written under the name Richard Bachman, titled Roadwork. He has also confirmed that he is still attached to the film adaptation of King’s short story The Jaunt. Roadwork takes place in an unnamed Midwestern city in the seventies. Grieving over the death of his son and the disintegration of his marriage, a man is driven to mental instability when he learns that both his home and his workplace are being demolished to make way for a connection to an interstate highway. Originally published in Twilight Zone Magazine in 1981, before being included in Skeleton Crew, The Jaunt is set in the 24th century where mankind has created instant teleportation known as “jaunting”. Unfortunately, travelers who make the leap while conscious either die or

‘IT: Chapter Two’ Used “4,500 Gallons” Of Blood!

Fans are eagerly awaiting IT: Chapter Two‘s arrival in theaters. And who could blame them? Everything we hear implies that Chapter Two is going to be even more terrifying than 2017’s first installment from director Andy Muschietti. According to actress Jessica Chastain, who stars as adult Beverly, one scene is “Carrie on steroids”. But that’s not all, she stated that the film went through a jaw-dropping 4,500 gallons of fake blood! Just to put that in perspective, that would fill up an average above-ground swimming pool. In the movie there’s a scene…someone said on set that it’s the most blood that’s ever been in a horror film. In a scene,” Chastain told host Jimmy Fallon. She continued, “The next day I was pulling blood out of my eyeballs. It’s scary. “I was like, ‘No, if we’re going to do it, let’s do it.’ I love horror films, I love Carrie, and I said, ‘Let’s make Carrie on steroids.’ And that’s

IT: Chapter Two’s Andy Muschietti Adapating Stephen King’s ‘Roadwork’

Stephen King adaptations just keep coming, not that we’re complaining. The latest edition to the list is an adaptation of King’s Roadwork which is now in the works from Andy and Barbara Muschietti (IT, IT: Chapter Two), who will be producing. Pablo Trapero (The Clan) is directing. Production is set to begin next year. In the book, “It’s all coming to an end for Barton Dawes. The city’s Highway 784 extension is in the process of being constructed right across town and inexorably through every aspect of Bart’s existence—whether it’s about to barrel over the laundry plant where he makes a living, or soon to smash through the very home where he makes a life. But as a result, something’s been happening inside Bart’s head that a heartless local bureaucracy isn’t prepared for—a complete and irrevocable burnout of the mental circuit breaker that keeps a mild-mannered person from turning to violent means. As the wheels of progress and a demolition

‘IT: Chapter Two’ Is Over Two Hours Long

Director Andy Muschietti‘s IT: Chapter Two will soon be arriving in theaters, but there’s something you should know, the movie is long. When I say long, I mean 2 hours and 45 minutes. That’s right, 2 hours and 45 minutes, which is unheard of for a horror movie (not that we’re complaining). The movie picks up twenty-seven years after the Losers Club faced Pennywise. The kids are now grown up and have moved on their lives, at least they thought they had. After receiving a devastating hone call the club returns home and must fight the creature once again. Written by Gary Dauberman, the film stars Jessica Chastain as Beverly Marsh, Bill Hader as Richie, James McAvoy as Bill, James Ransone as Eddie, Andy Bean as Stanley, Isaiah Mustafa as Mike and Jay Ryan as Ben. Xavier Dolan is Adrian Mellon, Teach Grant as bully Henry Bowers, with Will Beinbrink as Tom Rogan, and Jess Weixler as Bill’s wife. Bill
