“Light As A Feather” Actress Amaris Davidson Talks ‘Killer Kate!’ And More

Amaris Davidson, former NBA dancer turned actress, sat down with me to talk about her roles in films like Insidious 3, as Sarah in the soon to be released film Killer Kate! and her character Coach Fazholtz on the new supernatural series “Light As A Feather” which has just arrived on Hulu. Horror Fuel: “What was it like on the set of Insidious 3?” Amaris Davidson: “Oh, man. It was in a dilapidated hospital. It was a real hospital that they had turned into a movie set, exclusively for horror movies. Walking through the hall to get to where we were filming was interesting itself. It would give you a weird feeling. I don’t care for hospitals already, so it was really creepy. I play a nurse in Insidious 3, an ER nurse. There was a lot of blood in the prosthetics which were really beautifully done. They fire off the smoke machine and all you see is smoke coming

Movie Review: Insidious: Chapter 3

The Insidious franchise has held it’s own among other paranormal franchises, including the ‘Paranormal Activity’ line. The first ‘Insidious’ was released back in 2010 and has developed a style all it’s own. The latest film, ‘Insidious: Chapter 3′, is now in theaters and out on VOD. Last night I sat down to see for myself if the film stood up to the previous films’ legacy. I should mention now that ‘Chapter 3’ is not a sequel, it’s a prequel to the first film and was written and directed by Leigh Whannell, who also plays the role of Specs in ‘Chapter 3’. As always, our review will NOT spoil the movie’s ending. ‘Chapter 3’ begins when Quinn (Stefanie Scott), a young woman, seeks out Elise, a medium, to help her get in touch with her recently passed mother. Of course, everyone who has seen one of the ‘Insidious’ films will recognize Elise as Lin Shaye. Elise tries to channel Quinn’s mother,

Theater Full Of Young Children Accidentally Shown Horror Movie

Imagine if you will, a crowded theater full of young children and their parents, expecting to see a delightful animated movie, but instead several minutes of an intense horror movie is played for all to see. That’s exactly what happened earlier this week at a theater in Ohio. Instead of ‘Inside Out’, an animated movie about feelings, the group of preschoolers witnessed the trailer for ‘Sinister 2’ followed by the opening scene of ‘Insidious 3’. The children were terrified by what they saw, many of them began crying hyesterically. The parents and chaperons were furious with the theater, and who could blame them. If that happened and I had a four year old, I would be fit to be tied. I imagine the kids are a little traumatized after seeing kids being tied up and murdered on the screen. The theater’s manager apologized and offered new tickets, but one parent responded “The damage is already done. My children are terrified.”
