The ‘Nightmare Before Christmas’ Story Will Continue

There are few holiday films loved like Tim Burton’s The Nightmare Before Christmas. Fans would have loved to seen the story continue, but for some reason the film never got a sequel. But after nearly 25 years we will finally get more, in the form of a comic/Magna series, THR is reporting. Tokyopop will publish the series, titled ‘Nightmare Before Christmas: Zero’s Journey’, written by DJ Milky, featuring art by Studio DICE. As you can tell by the title, the books will center on Jack Skellington’s dog Zero as he gets lost far from home, in Christmas Town. The site reports “The format of the project will be unusual for the publisher; it will initially be serialized as full-color single issues released to comic book stores, before being collected in two different formats simultaneously, in full-color trade paperbacks and black and white pocket-sized manga volumes,”

Horror Comic Kicked From Kickstarter After Raising $700 Over “Graphic Content”

Full disclosure- the comic in question is mine, the campaign was run by me, and we’re now up and running on Indiegogo for anyone interested, and one of our perks is actually writing your name on an egg and throwing it at a Kickstarter poster. We haven’t made back a fraction of what we’ve lost so far, but at least we’re still in the game. . While Horrorfuel readers might know me for my reviews, news, and general writings on the horror community, I’ve also been co-writing a comic for about a year now, Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror. Maybe you can guess from the title it’s not something you read to your kid before you tuck him in at night. And I fully admit, and in fact relish, that The Whorehouse of Horror is a book full of filth, depravity, and everything that mainstream sensibilities tell you to steer the fuck away from. But it’s also a book

There’s A New Comic Coming And It May Be The Most Twisted Book You’ve Ever Seen

There’s a new five-part comic series on its way for horror fans who love the sick and twisted. Titled ‘Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror!’, this comic offers “up a selection of crazed and perverted stories, some of the sickest on the entire internet (and that’s saying something)”. According to the Kickstarter campaign: A labor of love, Whorehouse of Horror covers the entire anals, er, annals (no poon, er, pun, intended) of modern horror, from the classic “TALES FROM THE CRYPT” comics of the 1950s to the current “AMERICAN HORROR STORY” series of today. Add to that the best elements of Porn History, from your Dad’s vintage (and sticky) “PENTHOUSE” collection to your well-worn blu-ray of “TWO GIRLS, ONE CUP”, and you’ve got quite the package. “Tales From The Whorehouse of Horror” is the first in a new genre of entertainment; WHORROR (Whore+Horror=Whorror). Written by Yakov Levi and Jeff Scott with art by Dio Lee (Horror Highway), Joe Colewood (Things

An Interview With Michael Broom, Concept & Storyboard Artist For The Walking Dead & More

When most people think of a movie their first thoughts are that of the actors or the director, but special effects artists are the backbone of any great film. Special effects master, storyboard and concept artist, and comic book creator Michael Broom took the time to answer a few questions about his career and the creatures he has created. You might not know it, but you have seen Broom’s creations many times. He has worked on a number films including The Mist, The Cabin in the Woods, The Thing (2011), The Crazies, Jennifer’s Body, Predators, X-Men Origins: Wolverine, R.I.P.D, and Lost Boys: The Tribe, as well as series like AMC’s mega hit The Walking Dead, and MTV’s Teen Wolf. Horror Fuel: “What got you interested in Special effects, makeup, and creature design?” Broom: “I grew up in the heyday of the Monster Renaissance. There is one thing that seems to be a common fear among many people, and that’s clowns. Dr. Frankenstein To Battle Monsters In The New Comic Monstrous: Tales Of Valor And Villainy

Last night I came across the Kickstarter campaign for Source Point Press’ new four issue comic mini-series Monstrous: Tales of Valor and Villainy and was intrigued. Monstrous is the brain-child of writer Greg Wright (Wild Bullets, Last Monster Standing) and artist Ken Lamug (The Tiny Book of Tiny Stories, A Box Story). “You’ve heard the story of Dr. Frankenstein and his monster before.
