Bruce Campbell To Host New Horror Show

Bruce Campbell is a busy man these days, between his new series ‘Ash Vs Evil Dead‘ and appearing in season 2 of ‘Fargo’. Campbell also has another series that is being shopped to networks now. He has teamed up with 5×5 Media for latest project is horror reality show titled ‘Bruce Campbell’s Horrified’, which he will both host and serve as Executive Producer. Deadline explained that in the series “…contestants would live together, possibly in a haunted house-type of residence, and will compete in a series of team and individual challenges, with each episode themed around a horror sub-genre, like monster, sci-fi, psychological, zombie, ect… completed with decors, costumes and visual effects associated with that genre.” Craig Armstrong stated that “We hope to bring celebrities associated with that genre as judges.” He described the ideal contestants as “die-hard, obsessive, funny, bigger than life characters in the horror space.” Campbell is quoted as saying “From where I’m sitting, this is the

King Kong Moves To Warner Bros. For Future Kong Vs Godzilla Film

In an unexpected move Universal has moved it’s upcoming King Kong Skull Island film to Warner Bros. The reason for the change, to make it possible for a future King Kong Vs. Godzilla film, Warner Bros. owns the rights to the Godzilla franchise. The latest Godzilla and Kong features are currently in the works and will be followed up with an epic sequel that will pit giant beast against giant beast. The two beasts have gone head to head before in the 1962’s King Kong Vs. Godzilla. There is no word yet if the new film will be a remake or a completely new story.

‘Shark Lake’ Starring Dolph Lundgren

Action star Dolph Lundgren (The Expendables) is back in the action packed creature feature, ‘Shark Lake’. Lundgren stars along side Sara Malakul Lane of ‘Sharktopus’, Michael Aaron Milligan (V/H/S Viral) and James Chalke (Command Performance). Director Jerry Dugan brought this shark film to life. Meredith Hendricks, a fiercely protective single mom, happens to be the best cop in her small town on Lake Tahoe. Around the same time as Clint, a black-market exotic species dealer, is released from prison, a pregnant animal he let loose begins to let itself be known, but it’s not alone. Not only are there sharks in the lake, there’s sharks on land, of a different kind and they’re threatening Clint’s daughter. Both swimmers and pedestrians are soon part of Lake Tahoe’s new food chain. It’s up to Meredith, Peter and Clint to stop the beasts’ rampage. A Look At The Supernatural Thriller ‘Worry Dolls’

Director Padraig Reynolds’ new supernatural horror film, ‘Worry Dolls’, stars Christopher Wiehl, Kym Jackson, Tina Lifford, Samantha Smith, Yohance Myles, Kennedy Brice, Brea Grant, R. Brandon Johnson, Ashlynn Ross and Matty Ferraro. ‘Worry Dolls’ follows a detective who is on the hunt for a serial killer, who has awakened an ancient curse. The city is devastated as bodies begin to pile up. The detective is in a race against time to find a way to save his daughter and the city. The ‘Worry Dolls’ trailer looks great, luckily the film will be out later this year.

The Nerdist’s (headed by Chris Hardwick) first acquisition is the upcoming film ‘The Hive’. In the movie Adam (Gabriel Basso) is suffering from amnesia after witnessing a plane crash. He fights to remember who he is and what happened in time to save the love of his life, Kate (Kathryn Prescott), from the virus that is infecting them.David Yarovesky, who co-wrote ‘The Hive’ along side Will Honley, directs this intense horror film. Stephen Blackehart, Alexandra Grossi, Aurelia Scheppers and Julia Tilden also star in ‘The Hive’, which was called “The most horrifying and disgusting love story ever.” by ‘Guardians of the Galaxy’ director James Gunn. ‘The Hive’ will be in select theaters and on select VOD September 14th. The DVD release date has not been announced at this time.

Trailer Released For The Upcoming Horror Film ‘Bonejangles’

This morning I stumbled across the FaceBook page for ‘Bonejangles’, an upcoming slasher/zombie film who’s trailer has just been released. In the film a group of police officers delivering an unstoppable killer, must first survive a pit stop in a town where the dead don’t stay in their graves. Brett DeJager serves as director for this horror film, written by Keith Melcher. ‘Bonejangles’ stars Elissa Dowling, Reggie Bannister, Hannah Richter, Kelly Misek Jr., Devin Toft, Christopher Hunt and Julia Cavanaugh. The release date for ‘Bonejangles’ has not been announced, but there will be a red carpet premier at the Verne Drive in Luverne, Minnesota on Halloween. ‘First Person Shooter’ Combines A Zombie Film With The Look Of A Game

A new horror film is bringing together the best of both the gaming world and the zombie genre in the film ‘First Person Shooter’. ‘FPS’ is the brain child of Andres Luetzelschwab who penned the script. Luetzelschwab also co-directed the film along with Andreas Tom. In ‘FPS’ the viewer represents a man who’s wife Linda has been kidnapped by a ruthless scientist, who has created a deadly virus. To save Linda you must to make it through the levels of a decaying clinic while battling the mutated victims of the scientist. You must hurry, the building is set to be eradicated at dawn. The release date for this live action film was scheduled to be released in 2014 but was delayed. The new release date has not been announced.

Update On ‘Rings’ The Sequel To ‘The Ring’

For months sites have been reporting that the new upcoming movie in ‘The Ring’ franchise, titled ‘Rings’, would be a prequel. The director of ‘Rings’, F. Javier Gutierrez, shot down the rumor via a Tweet. Many of the details of the plot of ‘Rings’ is being kept “hush hush”, but we do know that Samara is back with that disturbing cursed video. We also know many of the names of the film’s cast. Aimee Teegarden, Johnny Galecki, Laura Wiggins, Alex Roe, Zach Roerig, Surely Alvelo, Brandon Larracuente, Dave Blamy, Matilda Anna Ingrid Lutz, Andrea Powell, NM Garcia, P. David Miller, Adam Fristoe, Jill Jane Clements, Andrea Laing and Drew Grey are among those cast in the sequel to 2002’s ‘The Ring’. ‘Rings’ is set to arrive in theaters on November 12th of this year.

Director Michael Dougherty Confirms Trick ‘r Treat 2 Is In Development

Director Michael Dougherty announced two years ago that 2007’s Halloween horror anthology ‘Trick ‘r Treat’ would be getting a sequel. Fans have since been eagerly awaiting the sequel, but little news has been released, until now. Dougherty talked about the sequel during an interview with IGN , stating that he has already begun developing ‘Trick ‘r Treat 2’. He also explained the delay. “It’s going to happen. It’s just, the tricky thing is, as we were announcing Trick ‘r Treat 2, I was finishing the screenplay for Krampus. If we didn’t do it, someone was going to.” Dougherty continued about the sequel “I want to get it right. I don’t want to rush it. We do have the comic book that’s coming out this October , which sort of acts like a, I hate to use the word prequel, but it expands the universe a little bit, in that we sort of explore the long history of Halloween, before the
