Movie Review: Malignant Is Absolutely Insane

It’s been five years since horror heavy hitter James Wan has directed a horror film, well, he’s back with the new movie Malignant. Earlier this month he promised it would be “new and different”, by god he was right. You’ve never seen anything like Malignant before! I will tell you this, I was not prepared for the level of bat shit insanity this movie reaches when I hit play. And it was awesome! The film centers on Madison (Anabelle Wallis), trapped in an abusive marriage. After a head injury, she suddenly begins to have shocking visions of grisly murders. Madison’s torment worsens as she discovers that her waking dreams are in fact terrifying realities and her past is coming back to haunt her. Anabelle Wallis does an amazing job of giving viewers a relatable character that they can have sympathy for. When the big twist comes, she rises to the occasion. Speaking of the twist, all I can say is

Movie Review: The Suicide Squad Is A Fun Action-Packed Flick

I think that we can agree, 2016’s Suicide Squad wasn’t great. So when the new movie hit HBO Max this weekend, I had my doubts about it. So what did I do? I watched it. The film kicked off with a new squad headed to an island nation to take out a tower, but once they land on the beach, they discover that one of their squad has ratted them out and all hell breaks loose. What they don’t know is a second squad has landed on the island with the same mission, thankfully. As the team moves forward, they are sent to rescue Harley Quinn and Colonel Flagg after they are caught. While attempting to complete their mission of destroying the tower they discover a creature that’s out of this world as their loyalties are tested. The cast is huge, but the most important characters include Bloodsport, a badass played by Idris Elba, who joins the squad so that

‘Evil Dead Rise’ Will Premiere Exclusively On HBO Max

The Evil Dead franchise is back! Variety is reporting that Evil Dead Rise is in the works at New Line Cinema with Sam Raimi, the franchise’s creator, and its groovy star, Bruce Campbell, will be executive producing the new franchise installment written and directed by Irish filmmaker Lee Cronin. Sadly, Campbell’s iconic character Ash Williams will not be returning. This time Alyssa Sutherland (“Vikings”) and Lily Sullivan (Mental) will lead the cast of the sequel. Evil Dead Rise moves from the woods to the city, and centers on “two estranged sisters whose reunion is cut short by the rise of flesh-possessing demons, thrusting them into a primal battle for survival as they face the most nightmarish version of family imaginable.” At its core, Evil Dead is about ordinary people overcoming extraordinarily terrifying situations. I can’t wait for Alyssa and Lily to fill the blood-soaked shoes of those who have come before them and carry on that tradition.” Campbell says. The
