Blumhouse And Maniac Productions Acquire The Rights To The Real Life Battersea Poltergeist Story

In an ultra-competitive bidding situation, Blumhouse Television and Michael Seitzman’s Maniac Productions have secured the rights to BBC Radio 4’s “The Battersea Poltergeist” podcast and will be developing into two series, one being titled “Blumhouse’s Ghost Story” that explores the haunting of the Battersea poltergeist and Shirley Hitchings’ experience, that remains the longest paranormal investigation in history. All Work And No Play Makes “The Shining” A Dull Film

Does Anyone Remember? The Shining film has had plenty written about it. Spielberg made it a center plot point in Ready Player One, focusing on the fact that its creator, Stephen King, hated the film. It’s looking at cynicism in filmmaking and entertainment. Kubrick’s translation of King’s novel has a certain amount of cynicism to it. After some online conversations, I thought I would get this out and off my plate. Was Kubrick a tad cynical in his vision for The Shining? Nostalgia has given Kubrick’s “horror masterpiece” a free pass, in my opinion. Many forget that the film’s 1980 release saw tepid reviews and an indifferent reception. The film made money and did well on cable and home video where it went into

Haunted Japanese Tunnel You Can Visit (On Youtube)

Youtube user TheJapanChannelDcom, an Australian now living in Japan with 98k subscribers, posts videos on his channel showcasing daily life in Japan. The Youtuber has video playlists for specific topics all intended to prepare and educate people who are planning to visit or move to Japan. His video posted on November 17th was a bit different from his regular posts, this time he was visiting (or at least driving through) a tunnel that’s said to be haunted. The video starts off with the Youtuber driving through the mountains explaining the story and history before driving through the haunted tunnel that opened in 1960. After exiting the tunnel the Youtuber pulls off to a foot of an old path leading to the original haunted tunnel that was opened in 1897. Japan has a history of stories of haunted tunnels as long as these tunnels themselves but that I’ll save for another time! For now, you can check out the double feature
