Tyler Perry’s Famous Character Must Face Terrors In Boo! A Madea Halloween

There have been many horror spoofs over the years. Now, a new horror-comedy, titled Boo! A Madea Halloween, is combining the aspects of horror we love with a popular character with a franchise of their own, and you have to love the poster. Coming this Halloween, Tyler Perry’s Medea will face ghosts, zombies, and famous horror gags like scary phone calls, insane people, home invasions, and more. For those of you who have never heard of Medea, let me explain. Medea is a foul-mouthed, gun-toting, 6’5″, hilarious, ex-stripper, who is a blunt. She is a no-nonsense type of woman. Medea is played by writer/director Tyler Perry. Medea’s franchise includes television series, plays, films, and a book written from her point-of-view. Tyler Perry, who has 12 awards and 37 award nominations, first introduced the character on film in Diary of a Mad Black Woman, based on the play by the same name. In Boo! Halloween Returns Put On Hold Again, But This Time It May Be Permanent

We’ve be waiting for news about the new Michael Myers film, Halloween Returns, and news has finally come, unfortunately it’s not good news. Halloween Returns has been put on hold. The reason for it’s second delay, Dimension Films has lost the rights to the Halloween franchise. Miramax is currently eyeing the rights. Until someone purchases the rights the movie will be in limbo, if not discarded completely. Marcus Dunsten was to direct the film, based on the script penned by Patrick Melton, and had planned to start production in July. Malek Akkad, long term producer for the franchise and the son of the original Halloween’s producer Moustapha Akkad, told Daily Dead that the previous delay was for the good of the film. In the current Halloween Returns script the 18-year-old kid of one of Michael’s victims and the kid of a cop, obsessed with the murders, arrive at the prison along with their friends, where Michael is held on death

‘Halloween’ Is Getting Yet Another Reboot

You may recognize the names of the writing duo of Marcus Dunstan and Patrick Melton, the team are behind several great horror movies of the past decade. Their credits include several of the ‘Saw’ franchise, ‘The Collector’ (2009) and ‘The Collection’ (2012). They also wrote 2013’s ‘Pacific Rim’. Now the duo has been tasked with writing the script for the new ‘Halloween’ reboot (sigh). That’s right, another ‘Halloween’ reboot. At least this time, John Carpenter will (supposedly) be involved. The new version of the 1978 classic horror movie, starring Jamie Lee Curtis and Donald Pleasence, will have nothing to do with the 2007 reboot, by Rob Zombie. Don’t get me wrong, I think Dunsten and Melton have serious writing talent, but do we really need another ‘Halloween’ movie? Dimesnsion Films and The Weinstein Company seem to think we do. Right now this is all we know about the reboot, but we will keep you posted as more details become Available.
