R.L. Stine Promises At Least Six More Goosebumps Books

Many of our childhood days were filled with scary tales thanks to R.L. Stine‘s Goosebumps series. Hopefully, it’s something that we can share with the next generation. Earlier this year Scholastic released three new books of the Goosebumps series, but there’s more to come. R.L. Stine announced during an interview with Medium that at least 6 new books are on there way. I don’t think authors retire,” Stine told Medium when asked about retiring, “I think of Robert B. Parker, who just dropped dead on the keyboard. I think that’s the way to go. Anyway, I just signed on to do six more Goosebumps books.” The Goosebumps movie franchise has added a sequel Goosebumps 2: Haunted Halloween, from Sony Pictures, which arrives in theaters on October 12, 2018. Jack Black is back, reprising his role as R.L. Stine.

New ‘Fear Street’ Novel Gets Cover Art

The ‘Goosebumps’ book franchise was my introduction to horror as a very small child and as I grew a bit, I got really into R. L. Stine’s ‘Fear Street’ collection. In 2014, after a 15 year hiatus, ‘Fear Street’ returned! Now, Stine’s newest novel gets its cover art released. In ‘The Wrong Girl” “Poppy Miller swears she will get payback for Jack Sabers’s cruel prank that humiliated her in front of all her friends. Then her classmates start turning up dead. All eyes are on Poppy. Is Poppy being framed? Or did the kids of Shadyside High mess with the wrong girl?” You know what you’re going to get from the remarkable author and the cover art looks great! I’m definitely going to pick up a copy for both entertainment and nostalgia.

Woman (In Horror) Crush Wednesday: Katharine Isabelle

Welcome back, my Little Monsters. It’s Wednesday again, and of course you all know what that means. It’s time to shine a spotlight on another one of our wonderful Women of Horror. Who’s today’s talented lady? You’ve already read it in the title, but just for the hell of it, I’ll type it again. Today’s talented lady is Katharine Isabelle (flutters eyelashes and swoons). Ms. Isabelle, born Katharine Isobel Murray, hails from Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada. In 1989, an 8-year-old Katie Murray kicked off her acting career, appearing in five movies (one made-for-TV) and an episode of MacGyver. In 1991, she began going by the name Katharine Isabelle, thus edging much closer towards her current moniker. Her journey towards the macabre began with roles on television shows like Ray Bradbury Theater, Goosebumps, and The X-Files. She would make her first film appearance in the horror genre, as Lindsay Clark in the 1998 film, Disturbing Behavior. And while this role did

Goosebumps for Goosebumps: The Game

If you were between the ages of 7-15 in the mid-90’s, you’ll no doubt have fond memories of R.L. Stine’s Goosebumps series. It started with Welcome to Dead House back in ’92, a television series from ’95-’98, and has now made it’s way as a feature film due out in just over a week. On top of all that, WayForward has developed a game based on the series to coincide with the movie’s release. While most of WayForward’s games have been platformers, Goosebumps will be a Point-and-Click horror mystery – which reminds me a lot of the Choose Your Own Adventure style Goosebumps books. It seems like it will take you all over the Goosebumps world, encountering all our favourite creatures of the past. It’s got a cool cartoon art style, which is excellent for such a franchise. Rated E, it fits in nicely somewhere between fun and cartoony while still achieving the creepiness and scares Goosebumps is known for.
