Second Trailer And A Release Date Blow In For ‘Geostorm’ – Starring Gerard Butler

A natural disaster can be one of the most terrifying things a person ever experiences. The storms that leave destruction in their wake forever changes the lives of those in it’s path. In the past disaster films like Twister, The Day After Tomorrow and San Andreas have taken a stab at capturing that terror, but none have combined several types of the events, until now. Now, co-directors Dean Devlin (Independence Day, Godzilla) and Danny Cannon (Gotham, Training Day) are taking every type of disaster, from tornadoes to tsunamis, and featuring them in one film, Geostorm, which has now received its theatrical release date and a its second trailer. Gerard Butler (Olympus Has Fallen, 300) leads the cast that includes Katheryn Winnick, Abbie Cornish, Ed Harris, Andy Garcia, and Robert Sheehan. Devlin co-wrote this action-filled film with Paul Guyot (The Librarians, Leverage). In the film, a man heads into space to prevent climate controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic

A First Look At The Real Life Inspired Thriller KEEPERS – Starring Gerard Butler

Three men are pitted against each other in a tale of greed and paranoia in Keepers, from director Kristoffer Nyholm. Today, we have a first look at the film starring Gerard Butler, Peter Mullan, and newcomer Conner Swindells. Written by Celyn Jones and Joe Bone, Keepers follows three lighthouse keepers on their six-week shift on an uninhabited island twenty miles from the rugged Scottish coast. As Thomas (Mullan), James (Butler), and Donald (Swindells) settle into their usual, solitary routines, something unexpected and potentially life-changing occurs – they stumble upon something that isn’t theirs to keep. Where did it come from? Who does it belong to? A boat appears in the distance that might hold the answer to these questions. What follows is a tense battle for survival as personal greed replaces loyalty – and fed by isolation and paranoia, three honest men are led down the path to destruction. The film was inspired the real-life Flannan Isle mystery of three

Mega Storms Ravage Earth In Geostorm – From The Producer Of Independence Day

There has long been a debate on if disaster films should be considered a subgenre of horror. Ask anyone who has ever been through one and they will tell yes (including me). A natural disaster can be one of the most terrifying things a person ever experiences. For that reason, we here at Horror Fuel will continue to cover disaster films. And there’s one you need to hear about right now whose trailer has just been unleashed, Geostorm. In Geostorm, a man heads into space to prevent climate controlling satellites from creating a storm of epic proportions. During the emergency, his brother sets out to stop a plot to assassinate the president while facing mother nature at her worst. The film features every weather-based natural disaster that you can think of, tornadoes, tsunamis and more, but on a bigger, more destructive scale than we have ever witnessed.
