Chucky Looks Like A Brand New Doll In The First Look At The ‘Child’s Play’ Remake

The first look at the Child’s Play remake is here and one thing is for sure, ole Chucky looks like a brand new doll. Filming has already begun on the remake from MGM and Orion, directed by Lars Klevberg. It will feature a new take on the killer doll that we all know and love. How different will the remake be? Not only does Chucky look different, but he will also sound different since Brad Dourif, who has long voiced the possessed doll, won’t be voicing the new version. Chucky‘s getting an upgrade. It’s been said that there will be robotic aspects to the doll which may be hacked and made to kill. Here’s another thing, creator, writer, and director Don Mancini has ZERO to do this flick. It will also have nothing to do with the original franchise which is still alive and well. Tyler Burton Smith (Kung Fury 2) wrote the script for the remake starring Aubrey Plaza

Lights Out Made Me Want To Leave The Lights On – A Spoiler Free Review

Normally, when a movie is being hailed “the best horror movie” months before its theatrical debut, I wonder two things: is the movie that good, or does it just have a lot of big names and a great PR team. ‘Lights Out’ is one of those movies. Months before it opened in theaters the buzz was that it was going to be the best horror film of 2016. But is it? Directed by David F. Sandberg and co-written by Eric Heiseerer, the film is based on the short film by the same name by Sandberg. With horror master James Wan producing the film, it had my attention from the moment it was announced (I am huge fan of Wan). Living in rural Georgia and the closest theater being over an hour’s drive away, I had to wait till ‘Lights Out’ was released on DVD to check it out. Last night, I finally had the chance to see it for myself.

The supernatural thriller did great during last week’s opening weekend, grossing over $60 million globally, 12 times its budget. Lights Out, based on the short film by the same name, was penned by Eric Heisserer, who will return for the sequel, Deadline reports. David F. Sandberg will be back to direct the sequel after he wraps filming Wan’s Annabelle 2. Lawrence Gray will produce. The film centers on Rebecca, a young woman who thought she left her childhood fears behind her. Growing up, she never was really sure what was real and what wasn’t when the lights went out. Now, her little

James Wan’s Adaption Of ‘Lights Out’ Now In Post-Production

We first learned that the short film Lights Out would be adapted as a full length feature, written and directed by David F. Sandberg and produced by James Wan (The Conjuring, The Conjuring 2) back in June. The film has now entered post-production and will be released by New Line in July of 2016. In the feature film, a boy and his estranged sister are stalked by an evil entity that can only be seen when the lights are out. Lights Out will star Warm Bodies actress Teresa Palmer , Emily Alyn Lind (The Haunting in Connecticut 2), Alicia Vela-Bailey (Interstellar), Amiah Miller (Trafficked), Gabriel Bateman (Annabelle), Andi Osho (Night and Day), and Alexander DiPersia (I Am Legend).
