Marti King Young Talks The Conjuring 3, Adventures Of Wonderboy, and Women In Film

There are so many people that work behind-the-scenes to get a movie made and we rarely hear their side. During my interview with writer-director Marti King Young, she told me about the other jobs in Hollywood including on The Conjuring 3: The Devil Made Me Do It and Annabelle Comes Home, as well as her recent projects and what her goals are as a filmmaker. Horror Fuel: “I love finding out how movies are made and all of the fascinating jobs that go into it. What did your position as Location Coordinator for The Conjuring 3 involve? “Marti”: “That’s the first time I had ever worked in that regard, and I never got to go to set which really bugs me. I stayed in the office. Basically, I was the coordinator, I was in charge of all the paperwork. I made sure all of the locations got paid. We had things like water meters that we had to go pick

Dark Encounter Director Carl Strathie Talks Alien Lights And Grief In Our Interview

I had the pleasure of sitting down with writer-director Carl Strathie to discuss his new film Dark Encounter, a sci-fi thriller about a family’s struggle with loss and the truth of a dark mystery discovered with the help of otherworldly beings. The following is our conversation. Horror Fuel: “If you will, tell us about your most recent film Dark Encounter?” Carl Strathie: “The story is about a little girl who has gone missing. We follow the family a year after on the day of her memorial and they are grieving and they’re coping with the fact that no one knows what happened. It’s about a family struggling. There’s a big twist at the ending. Did you see it coming?” Horror Fuel: “No, I did not, which is a miracle, I always see what’s coming in movies. I like not knowing what happens right up until the end.” Carl Strathie: “Good, that’s good.” Horror Fuel: “I’m glad that you explore the

Conrad Faraj‘s (The Shadow People, The Candyman Conspiracy) latest film Fighting the Sky is rapidly approaching its February release date. Ahead of the film’s arrival, I sat down with Conrad to ask a few questions about the alien invasion film and the many movies he has coming out soon. Horror Fuel: “How did you get into the film industry?” Conrad Faraj: “I’ve always wanted to be a filmmaker since I was very, very young. I remember writing a lot of fan fiction. As I started writing more and more, I decided to make them into movies. I turned short stories into short movies. Ever since then, I’ve been making bigger and bigger movies. Here I am now.” Horror Fuel: “How would describe your latest film, Fighting the Sky?” Conrad Faraj: “Fighting the Sky is a science fiction adventure film with horror elements. Filmmaker P.J. Starks Talks Volumes Of Blood 3: Devil’s Knight And More

Back in 2015, I reported about the horror anthology titled Volumes of Blood from writer/director/producer P.J. Starks. Since that film, he’s been a busy man. He’s produced 18 films, made a sequel to Volumes and Blood, and directed 3 other films. Now P.J. is making the third Volumes of Blood film Volumes of Blood: Devil’s Knight. P.J. took the time out of his busy (and I mean busy) schedule to talk with us about it and a few other things. Check it out. Horror Fuel: “What made you want to become a filmmaker?” P.J.: “I’ve always been a storyteller in some form or fashion. I started with writing really early on. In the sixth grade, I wrote an alien invasion novella. I was also a huge lover of movies and as time went on it was just a natural transition from writing to filmmaking. Ultimately it was Clerks that made me say, “Hey, I could really do this.” Horror Fuel:
