Our First Look At Arseface From AMC’s New Series Preacher

AMC gave a first look at their highly anticipated new series Preacher this weekend at WonderCon. The pilot episode was shown to an extremely excited crowd and was well received. The television adaption of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillion’s graphic novel Preacher is set to air on Sunday, May 22nd. AMC also gave audiences a first look at Preacher’s characters. The first image of one of the characters in the series named Eugene, nicknamed ‘Arseface’ (for a good reason), played by Ian Coletti was shared. Arseface’s history is a sad one and the state of his face is even sadder. Eugene grew up in an abusive home. One day, Eugene attempted to blow his head off, but survived. That’s how he ended up with that ugly mug. Preacher follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), an unconventional preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into his profession by his effing insane family. AMC Casts The Role Of Odin For Their Upcoming Series Preacher

AMC has now cast the role of one of the biggest villains, Odin Quincannon, for their upcoming series Preacher. Anyone who has read the Preacher graphic novels by Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon, which the series is based on, knows that Odin is a nasty character. He runs a Texas slaughter house and enjoys spending time “alone” with the meat after hours, if you know what I’m getting at. He’s also a hood-wearing member of the KKK and all round creepy individual. AMC has chosen The Watchman and A Nightmare on Elm Street (2010) actor Jackie Earle Hailey to play the role. Preacher follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into his profession by his effing insane family. AMC Orders Season One Of ‘Preacher’

Since I first heard that AMC had ordered the pilot for ‘Preacher‘, the adaption of Garth Ennis and Steve Dillon’s fantastic comic book by the same name, I’ve wondered how AMC would get around some of the controversial content. The biggest concern is the comic’s not so pleasant references to God. I guess they are willing to deal with any drama from fans or groups because AMC has gone ahead and ordered the first season of ‘Preacher’, consisting of ten episodes. The series is set to premier in mid 2016. For those who are not familiar with the comics, let me explain. ‘Preacher’ follows Jesse Custer (Dominic Cooper), a preacher from a small Texas town, who was pushed into preaching by his effing insane family. Jesse, after being possessed by Genesis, sets out to find God. He is accompanied by his ex girlfriend Tulip O’Hare (Ruth Negga) and Cassidy (Joseph Gilgun), a vampire.
