First Look: Filming Has Wrapped On Home Invasion Thriller ‘Nefarious’

Filming has wrapped filming on Ash Moutain Films’ home invasion thriller Nefarious from the makers of the award-winning film Dogged. Today, we have the first batch of images. From director Richard Rowntree, the film stars Buck Braithwaite, Nadia Lamin, Abbey Gillett, Omari Lake-Pottinger, Gregory A Smith, and Toby Wynn-Davies. It was co-written by Matthew Davies. “Sometimes, you have to turn to crime. Sometimes, it turns on you… Darren, Lou, Jo, and Mas live a meager existence on the fringes of poverty. Indebted to the criminal kingpin of their social housing development, they routinely fear for their lives. On the other side of town, the already wealthy Marcus and his mentally handicapped brother Clive receive a windfall in the form of a winning lottery ticket. When their worlds collide following a botched robbery, the would-be criminals get more than they bargained for, and will be tested to their limits in a desperate attempt to survive a predator of monstrous proportions.” Nefarious

Following this week’s arrival of award-winning director Richard Rowntree‘s dark film Dogged, the film’s killer soundtrack release has just been announced. ScreamWorks Records once again teams up with The Drift composer James Griffiths to present his latest finely tuned chiller score on the Screamworks label. Directed by Richard Rowntree based on his 2015 short film, Dogged is a “horror that deals with the sins of the past and their effects on the present. When Sam returns home to the tidal island where he grew up to attend a funeral of a young girl, he soon realizes that the community he had once left has changed considerably. He soon uncovers disturbing secrets about his former home and the seedy underbelly of the small community harbors more than just a few secrets.” My score for Dogged is very much a homage to the sinister detail that the movie itself presents” reveals composer James Griffiths about his contributions to the film. “The Folk

Movie Review: ‘Dogged’ Is Laden With Disturbingly Dark Secrets

A young man named Sam is returning from university to his boyhood home, located in a village on a tidal island called Farthing Island. The purpose of his visit is to attend the funeral of a young girl who died in a tragic, albeit mysterious, accident, and to also attend the community’s annual Festival of Thanks. Of course sometimes going back home isn’t as comforting an experience as one would hope, and in the wake of the recent tragedy this small town is cloaked in a shroud of secrecy. Something clandestine is afoot on Farthing Island, and Sam will learn he isn’t just paranoid as he uncovers a disturbing part of the village’s history. Richard Rowntree was at the helm for Dogged, which he and Matthew Davies co-scripted with. Rowntree has successfully taken his original short film, which had a duration of merely 4 minutes, and turned into an entertaining feature. I would liken this story to a darker and
