Movie Review: Nobody (2021) Is The Only Action Movie You Have To See This Year

Let me get this out of the way, I am fully aware that Nobody isn’t a horror movie, but I watched it and I have to share my thoughts on it, so read on or exit, your choice. Directed by Ilya Naishuller and written by Derek Kolstad, Nobody stars Emmy Award-winner Bob Odenkirk (“Better Call Saul”) as Hutch, a family man who is drifting apart from his wife and nobody respects him. They have no idea who he used to be. After a home invasion, Hutch is at rock bottom until his daughter tells him the thieves took her bracelet which flips a switch in him, and he sets off on a mission to retrieve it. This is when we learn the mild-mannered father is actually a badass who used to kill for the government. After beating the hell out of a group of guys he learns that one is the brother of a Russian gangster who now wants revenge.

John Wick Writer Adapting Japanese Manga ‘Hellsing’ For A Feature Film

When it comes to action-packed films John Wick is at the top of the list. The writer behind the pulse-pounding franchise, Derek Kolstad, is now gearing up to bring us another film that will keep us on the edge of our seats, the live-action film adaptation of the Japanese action-horror manga Hellsing for Amazon Studios, Deadline reports. The manga also focuses on Hellsing’s newest recruit, a female ex-police officer named Seras Victoria.” I’ve always loved the vampire genre, especially when a creator is able to put their own unique spin on

John Wick Writer Working On New “Dungeons & Dragons” TV Series

Have you’ve ever gathered around a table with your friends for a round of D&D, to cast the dice and enter a world of mages, rouges, and monsters? If the answer is yes, you will be thrilled to hear that Derek Kolstad, the writer of the John Wick franchise is bringing to life a series inspired by the game, “Dungeons & Dragons.” There is no word yet which network it will premiere on. The fantasy role-playing game, which is easily one of the largest role-playing games ever created, was first released in 1974 by game developers Ernest Gary Gygax and David Arneson. It rose to popularity in the 1980s and has gained traction once again during the pandemic due to its easy remote gameplay over services like Zoom. To play the table-top game you will need a group of friends, a “Dungeon Master” (lead storyteller), and a few supplies, including a handbook. We recommend you get a starter kit (here).
