‘A Quiet Place II’ Hit With Yet Another Delay

Two years ago, when a movie’s release date was announced you could count on it arriving on time, but thanks to the covid pandemic that just isn’t the case anymore. Now, films continue to get delays time and time again and big-budget movies are no exception. One of the films I’m referring to is John Krasinski‘s A Quiet Place II which has been hit with multiple delays. Most recently it was set to open in theaters in April, but a new release date has just put it even further away, debuting on September 17, 2021. We hope it sticks this time. Emily Blunt, Cillian Murphy, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe, and Djimon Hounsou star in the sequel to the critically acclaimed 2018 film . Part II finds the Abbott family (Emily Blunt, Millicent Simmonds, Noah Jupe) now facing the terrors of the outside world as they continue their fight for survival in silence. Forced to venture into the unknown, they quickly

A24’s Horror ‘The Green Knight’ One Step Closer To Release

Earlier this year A24 and director David Lowery‘s (A Ghost Story) The Green Knight was scheduled to debut but became another victim of COVID. Now, news has come that it has scored an MPA rating of “R” due to “violence, some sexuality, and graphic nudity.” That’s one step closer to it getting a release. From visionary filmmaker David Lowery comes a fresh and bold spin on a classic tale from the knights of the round table,” A24 explained The Green Knight earlier this year. The film is “an epic fantasy adventure based on the timeless Arthurian legend, The Green Knight tells the story of Sir Gawain (Dev Patel), King Arthur’s reckless and headstrong nephew, who embarks on a daring quest to confront the eponymous Green Knight, a gigantic emerald-skinned stranger, and tester of men. Gawain contends with ghosts, giants, thieves, and schemers in what becomes a deeper journey to define his character and prove his worth in the eyes of

‘Antebellum’ Won’t Premiere In August After All

Just as Lionsgate’s Antebellum was nearing it’s August the 21st premiere date, the film has been delayed again, this time with no premiere date in sight. In fact, it has been removed for the schedule altogether. The question is, was the film removed due to the pandemic or because of the subject matter as tensions continue to rise surrounding the Black Lives Matters movement. This is the second time the film has been rescheduled already, it was originally set to open in theaters this Spring. Antebellum, written and directed by Gerard Bush and Christoper Renz (Bush+Renz), takes us on the nail-biting journey of successful author Veronica Henley (Janelle Monáe) as she finds herself trapped in a horrifying reality as she finds her self enslaved. To return home, she must uncover the mind-bending mystery before it’s too late. Kiersey Clemons, Jena Malone, Jack Huston, Eric Lange, Gabourey Sidibe, and Robert Aramayo also star. With theaters still closed due to the coronavirus pandemic, it’s no surprise that Universal is delaying the release of the reboot of 1992’s Candyman. Originally set to arrive in theaters on June 12th, the movie is now being released on September 25, 2020. Director Nia DaCosta‘s Candyman returns to the neighborhood where the legend began, where Cabrini-Green housing projects once stood.
